Vet level took my motivation out back and beat it to death with an aluminum baseball bat.

Not kidding. Vet lvling is arguably the worse part of this game. It basically turned into a Korean MMO with the grinding. And theres no real incentive to lvl anyway, theres no instant gear reward, no faction goodies, all we get are 3 outfits. Which are cool and all, but you need to give people more reason to go on a grind quest.

Said it before, I'll say it again.

They need to triple the XP in Veteran zones. They should also give us XP for exploration as a veteran. Why not?

And, why the heck don't we at least get a skill point when we finally do get a veteran level? I mean, jeez all we get is a crappy Disguise outfit to wear every *5* veteran levels? Whooptie Do!

XP does not need to be changed at all. Time it takes to level is just fine. The things that really need to change however are: Story, 2 difficulty options (normal, hard).
And here you go it's that simple really, except they'd have to re-edit all the quests, basically mostly everything as VR wouldn't share the same story as the home factions.

Grinding for 2 days in Cyrodiil to get one lvl? No. Its not fine. And to make it worse, I get no real reward. Just access to items I can fine. What they need to do is when you lvl in vet, you get PvP gear for that lvl and give you a skill point to use in you Alliance War skill tree.

Nobody is saying it's not MMO enough. They are saying VR is boring and the story insults their intelligence. It's great you like it because it's going to need a lot of you to keep paying subs.

You like it - others don't. No one is right or wrong.

I'm a 'true scotsman Elder Scrolls fan' and that's why when I've finished the excellent faction story my sub will lapse. .

So you haven't actually played the VR content? Why then are you jumping into every thread on the subject if you haven't experienced it?

Gotta remember that the game is coming up on three months old. Pretty sure WoW wasn't perfect and "complete" enough at that age. Have patience.

No, while WoW certainly wasn't perfect at release, it was pretty complete. You could max level a character and still have plenty to do with raiding, etc. I played for years and never got a point to a point where I was completely bored and didn't have any other options. It took about 4 weeks to get to that point with ESO.
Well, Onyxia and Molten Core were indeed raids on a larger scale than any other MMO has tried, not sure they were hugely successful for any significant number of players .. Blizzard admitted less than 15% of players ever saw inside them, far, far fewer ever completed both.

Wow launched with none of the raids you know as raids.

Instead, we took 20 people into zones designed for 5(stratholme, scholomance, lower blackrock spire) and 40 to places designed for 15(upper blackrock spire).

Think for Naxx it was less than 3% did it at level. Similarly low was sunwell rates.

They felt it was a bad choice putting all that development time into content the vast majority never got to experience.

Hence, current raiding scene. In my opinion, a good choice. Wasting that much time and effort in a relatively tiny populace is detriment to everyone, including the exclusivists that ran those raids.

As for me I can say I'm extremely discouraged, I'd like to keep playing the roll I started with - don't want to have to re-roll as a (nerfed) DK nor a Light Armor/staff. Vet level players destroyed PVP for me, Vet level areas are destroying PVE for me. I can't go anywhere without grouping... ya go ahead and say I'm just not any good - but I compare it to the "final" battle with Molag Bal, that battle was easy, killed him without coming close to dying, Vet level mobs of 3 or more will kill me without failing.

The biggest thing for me isn't so much the supposed difficulty, it's that plus all the glitches. When CC doesn't work like it's supposed to; some or all abilities somehow get locked out during fights; random 3-10 second freezes; frame rate drops when viewing certain things; targeting critters instead of mobs; random mob resets in the middle of battle without running away and path-accessible; L.... ...AG spikes; No amount of skill can combat a 2 second delay between client visual/action->server calculations->client visuals/responses (as in when in a battle and the mobs start running away 1 to 3 seconds before you die - is because on the server you already died and the mob is resetting - which means by the time you see your health at critical level and try to heal... it's too late cause you're actually dead) (it's also the reason melee mobs will appear to have a 15 foot reach). The lag is the game breaker for me. I have a gigabit connection and consistent frame rates above 80fps in the other games I play - no problems.

This just happened from an npc that was inside a house casting spells through a wall.2qlz9ug.jpg

I'm not sure which part is more ridiculous. The fact that this npc was casting though walls, the part where her spells hit for 3x the damage of any of my spells, or the part where this is a common theme in VR lvls.

This isn't a boss. This is trash mob. This crap has to change.

Exactly - thanks for the screen shot. THAT is why I think Vet content is too difficult, because these mobs (and some bosses) have pumped-up attacks that will kill you in one or two shots, and sometimes because of lag or bugs or simply not having perfect reflexes every time, you can't get away fast enough. I don't like that kind of "challenge". to me, that's just frustration.

having 5k health in vet levels isnt that ridiculous you know
