Heh, I didn't read "Things that need to change to keep this game alive", but I'd bet my mother's egg-tooth it's filled with WoW features. BTW, for those that haven't learned, [Insert Upcoming MMO Title] is ALWAYS way better than [Insert Currently Playing MMO Title].

Huh. There's even someone complaining about how instancing is preventing him from helping his wife. Same thing I heard on the WoW forums during Cata, when they started playing with phasing a little harder than before.

And really, it didn't seem like that bad a game in open beta; it was just too much like WoW, and too much "yer in the army, you get treated like a mensch" for my tastes at the moment. Plus the cluttery screen, and the cluttery menus.

Actually, there is probably one or two positive threads...

WS made the miracle of persuading a colleague of mine to play TESO (he tried persuading me to play WS with a guest key but after 2 days we just couldn't play it anymore and he bought online a cheap explorer pack...)

A quick browse through that forum and I realized, the players there don't like phasing either (shocker).

Didn't WoW do this as well, and later on changed it? Why do game designers do stuff like this, it should be obvious.

QFT. Can confirm this for every MMO since DAoC (when I started playing MMOs back in the day). Did increase by magnitudes once WoW came into live. Gotta hand it to Blizzard, they ruined a whole generation of gamers and forum discussions.

Does not surprises me one bit, the game was a hardcore MMO fights are gonna be super tough. What I do like about it is the game mechanics, IMO ESO and WS are opposite sides of the spectrum, one is heavy AA damage the other is too focused on AOE damage, I really want a game in between.

Where in Cata were there phasing problems? I only encountered phasing problems in Icecrown during Wrath.

Wildstar is obviously going through their shakedown period right now. I wonder how the 40 man raid instances will turn out.
