I made a thread almost immediately after launch, if you may recall (ie be kind and pretend it was read :p) all of the things i had at the time noted turned out to be concerns that were later on voiced by many others in and outside these forums..with all this entails.

I urge to at the very least have a read in this post.

TLDR in advance:
We understand your conceptualisation, vision, direction. We do. It is the way you take to get there that is at heart.
Of the issues, the complaints, the elements (due to absense or mispresentation) that hold the game back.
Cause if you think this is well, you have no idea what it could have been like.

1) --- Community ---

A)
We cannot whisper people.
Can you really not grasp the import of this? Uless account name and ingame name match, tough break..

So we cannot communicate outside the closed barriers of guilds. People run around us, no chance at bonds forming, at communique, at a silly joke, comment. An offer to group on the fly. All the things that bring the unexpected. In terms of socialising and human experience, we may as well be playing single/solo.
We need a way to 'mark'-> 'click' -> 'whisper marked player'

B)
The only MMO where people and dead pixels (aka NPCs) are equated.
They run around, i cannot talk to them, i do not need them, i cannot even discern all the time if they are human or AI..not unless i consciously hover over them..why..

You wanted a Skyrim with a monthly sub game? Fine, design floating nameplates, and make them optional. Default turned off. """Vision""" intact. Profit for all those other people currently scratching their heads.

C)
a Who/Guild listing page. Know your neighbour, know your guilds. It is a command you already have working inwards, all you need is a silly UI to dress it with. Got any idea how many people check? Why do you think that is?

D)
Your forums are slick at the expense of handy. You hide posts and sections behind other sections, behind overall tags. You would see an increase of posts (and as such participation) if you re-worked them. An Off-Topic is still conspicuously absent.

2) --- UI / API ---

There is a way to both keep this game as a Skyrim with sub (though again, why..) and simultaneously make it feel like an MMO for everyone else currently wishing this. Their number being legion.
We do understand, as i said. We also -know-. We tried FF14. They too were headed for the consoles. Go have a look at how amasing their UI is, and how, without lacking user friendliness or responsiveness, it actually resembles that of an MMO.
What is this way then?

A)
Allow us to be able to open our inventory for example without the world stopping.
Allow us to have mouse functionality (press key and game is as is now, press other key, i can have an MMO feel, i have a keyboard key to walk, atttack, etc, i have my mouse to 'function')

Dropping everything just so we can press 'B'. send a simple chat line. check our skills. and so on. is just..wrong. Senseless.
Skyrim was a single game guys. The world did pause when you wanted it. This is an MMO. The world moves on. No one player and no one NPC, event, or script waits for you. How many times have you seen posters here from people complaining about dying just because they wanted (the nerve!) to do one of the above while playing?

This maintains the """vision""" Looks and feel remain as are. again set as turned off by default. There.
This is extremely important. If you think i know not what i am saying, go see Tera. Another example right there. Their combat is similar to yours, mouse functions wise. Have a look at their UI. So be it your combat element, or be it your console targetting, your way is wrong.

Wrong.

B)
Reconsider your API restrictions. Too closed in, too tight, too restrictive. They wanted an ES feel? They got it. Reconsider the possibility of allowing those that want an MMO + TES to customise their experience further.

This is not a bashing, a raging, or whatever they use when below highschool education or the age 15. I like this game. I just really honestly wish i could also like this MMO.
My sincere apologies if i am offending somehow, or if the thread ends up to nothing other than a flame thread. Not my intentions.
Wish you well, see you in-game :)

11 views.. i hope to Boethiah it is just me miscomprehending things. Which is of course entirely possible, and i am not being sarcastic. Maybe it really is just me.

Allow me however to post a little diagram stating an interesting fact or two. The voting poll is of approximately 42.000 subscribers. Nothing for a big company, but still, maybe a very lot of those subscribers (they -pay-) could still be around, if some QoL such as the ones suggested above were added.

You don't believe this is the matter? What do people praise the other two games for? QoL, the little things. Things you could add here too, without losing a single one of your (remaining) satisfied customers. See all that turned off by default proposed above. They could continue to play a single player game with a sub (everyone is allowed to a bit of S&M) and never know about them.

Everyone else though, they could begin to convince themselves this both feels and plays like a good MMO, and therefore is worthy of subbing. Just my view.
