II thought you would be taking the fight to the other alliances you spent 3 months fighting. You would go to them, and everyone there would KNOW who you are, and the leader of that alliance, would utilize whatever means to take you down.

The hero who defeated Molag Bal is sent to topple an entire faction! FOR THE QUEEEEEEN!

VR1- 10 in only one faction's zones. And you get to select the faction.

Sadly the end reward you get from finishing ALL of Caldwell's quests in the VR content sums it up - an insult to the time spent questing - AN INSULT. Time vs. Reward evidently wasn't even considered by the one who thought this was an adequate end reward. Seriously a cheesy blue necklace :( when I can go out to Craglorn and with some luck and time get a lower level purple of better quality. I love this game but this end reward was an insult!
    MAIN
    Aldmeri Dominion
Torroch, VR14 Orc DK Rank 22, Officer in Maelstrom
Once again looking for an organized PvP guild to join - viva la Venatus

    NON-PvP Alts
    Ebonheart Pact
Torach, VR12 Orc Sorcerer, GM House of the Tamriel Ten
Torrach, VR8 Orc Templar, House of the Tamriel Ten (older brother of Torach)

I expected to feel like i had accomplished something in building my character 1-50. Alas the killer of mannimarco and banisher of molag bal is out-classed by 3 bandits.

    makes sense.

I expected to continue the story I had begun. Instead, I started another story, but one which made no sense for my character.

You get used to it, but in a game sold on immersion, it's massively immersion breaking.

I also expected weapons other than staves to be viable for the challenges offered.

I knew there were going to be more difficult mobs but once I got there I completely lost motivation to continue.

I expected it be a meaningless time sink designed to lengthen subscriptions ... and I was right.

I certainly did not expect to do content I wanted to do on a toon of that faction. It does sound like an afterthought. I was expecting more content, to be honest.

Was expecting it to be optional (maybe to gear up, etc) not mandatory for certain achievements, etc.

Yes, there are other ways to get to max level but VR levels still reek of panic.

Soooo..hind sight being 20/20 - what i think they should have done - is created more classes but have them only be available to certain factions. Then you really could play how you want to play. Then for VR content You could quest to open the other classes, or open up the other class skill sets to your class...or racial traits etc..a high elf quest line that let you pick from their passives to add to yours. or orc or dark elf...Where High end content really let you craft a player that was unique.

I expected area's of the opposing factions with no quests. I just imagined i could visit them, do the dungeons and maybe some quests of my own faction, stealing plans, infiltrating etc.

But noooo, i am killing my own alliance instead and helping people (i understand helping citizens who have bandit trouble, but helping ebnemy soldiers and kings killing my own is bad)

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."
