Will ESO ever reach consoles?

So I was considering the state of the game today and i found myself questioning if it will ever reach the consoles.

I have my doubts as the reputation the game has been tarnished and they may well pull the plug before losing more money.

Its also been tested and proven that the game will not survive on a subs based business model, so it may well hit consoles F2P.

Server wipe - Like we saw in FF14, perhaps they go back to the drawing board and rerelease the game (in a much better state) on PC and consoles at the same time.

There's a reason they pushed it to September instead of pushing it into a wood chipper. The console market is huge. This winter Tiny Tim will be asking Mommy for the "new Skyrim game" as soon as his doe eyes land on it at Best Buy. Huge market demographic, though by then they'll likely have micro-transactions in full gear and supplement them for a sub fee. Just conjecture at the moment, but the modern market doesn't like paying $15 a month for one game. Once the Steam OS has an end user version release (speculations say as soon as this summer) and custom built steam boxes get out, people getting AAA console titles for $15 will crush ESO's projected console business model.

Though I'm certain they have people they pay good money on staff at Zenimax already working on monetizing content and dropping the sub fee. If only to have a contingency plan for when the subscriber base dips below desired levels effecting ROI and projected earnings. Not sure though, the sustainable revenue stream from a subscriber base is a very nice thing to have for any developer, so they may stick with it to the bitter end. I suppose they do have the advantage of being privately owned, so at least there's no pressure from share holders that their figures could *** off.

TL;DR version Console ESO will happen... just might not go as well as they might hope. Time will tell.

They're not going to go back on their promises and ruin their reputation/image. A gaming company just won't be able to go through such pain.

Release the console controllers on PC/MAC, We are forced to play on KB and mouse because of this delay.

After a couple major updates and I think it should be smooth sailing. I would get it for console if I didn't like pc more.

You realize the control scheme for this game is totally screwed up BECAUSE OFthe consoles.

Screw the consoles. Give me 10 ability action bars and allow me to reap the benefits of this FULLY FUNCTIONAL PERSONAL COMPUTER.

I hope not. we need a function bar with more than 5 choices. Consoles are the stated reason we are not getting what we need.
