Falmer✭✭✭✭Yeah, I don't see an option for a Social or RP guild. I have never joined a guild in this game as I my negative experiences with guilds far outweigh any benefit in past games.
The only ones I have ever been tempted to join though are of the social/RP variety.0 -

Mine and because (see sig).FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.Balance is a "Bad" thing.
Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

fyendiarb16_ESO✭✭✭My favorite type of guild is one you can join as a character instead of forced with your entire account. Since this is not an option in this game I am and will remain without a guild.
Usually I go with a guild that is social, relaxed, does not tolerate any form of abuse, does not have power hungry leadership and has no main focus other than having fun in every aspect of the game.
If only I could join with my character instead of account wide, but alas Zenimax doesn't want that for some reason. Not even as an option.0 -

Vendersleigh✭✭✭Roleplay guilds are not the same as PvE guilds. Some Rpers are avid PvPers, and RP can be very much player versus player though emoted or plotted out rather than with ingame combat.

ESO has the worst guild system imaginable:
1. If i join a guild on a character, all of my characters are in that same guild even if they are in opposing factions.
2. There is no camaraderie.... people join guilds just so they can trade stuff because there is no universal trade system.. sucks...
3. Guild channels all the same color green and on one character I can see the guild spam from 5 different guilds..
Guilds should be worthwhile social communities within a game.. this is a hallmark of MMOs since the 1990s.. Fealty, loyalty, and helping out fellow guild members and a feeling of belonging.. Why the *** did ZOS marginalize the guild system?????Edited by Enkil on June 9, 2014 3:01PM2 -
Lodestar✭✭✭✭None of the above. A social guild for me. I know people may think PVE is just that, but it does not denote between a grind factory or a social type of guild. And social guilds tend to involve a mixture of many play styles. A little of everything.0

You can change the colours of the chats for each of the guilds you are in.
Eg. I have my main guild highlighted in a brighter green and the one that has the most irrelevant chatter downgraded to dull yellow.0 -
