Do lower level Veteran Rank players get xp while farming anomalies in Craglorn?

I often see large groups with some VR3s and lower farming the anomalies. I thought that there was a cutoff in terms of damage or healing that players had to do relative to other players in order to receive xp from downing an anomaly boss. True or False?

Yes, that's why all the VR zones are empty. Craglorn basically ruined the game.

Im v6, done it 4 times and bored out of it. Sometimes I got no vp at all, sometimes I got 20k.

The thing works in mysterious ways.

Please explain why "a bunch of players of all veteran ranks are in Craglorn" translates to "Craglorn ruined the game!"

It's like the arguments where people say "there's nobody in Bangkorai" and think it means the games dying, when the very next post is about how there are too many phases in Craglorn because there are too many players.

I don't care for Craglorn as a lower level vet. I know at VR4, I was getting crap for experience. One tick every 10 bosses or so.

But many, many, many players love to grind, and ESO seems to have a staunch anti-grind policy in place except for this one instance. I think there's a connection there, somewhere.

Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

You won't get xp just by tagging the anomaly boss. When I respec'd my nb at VR3, my destro staff skill was like 7 or 8 and my light armor gear was from level 40s (I had decent medium armor gear which wasn't caster gear). I got into an anomaly group and did crappy dps as expected and didn't get xp except tiny 1k amounts when the adds died. Aoe ftw I guess.

So I leveled and changed my approach. I guess I edged my way into the cutoff because only then did I begin to get decent sized chunks of xp.

I have 600 dps, may not be great, surely not at the bottom of the barrel. Sometimes I do get 20k vp with one event.

Basically, I don't think my dps is the issue here.

What was mentioned in group was that you had to be in the top 10 of all the people on the boss whether they were in your raid group or not. If you weren't in the top 10, you wouldn't receive xp from the anomaly boss kill.

It's an MMO. All but one game zone is empty after VR1. Duh. I'm not subscribing to a single player game here with an occasional passing bot.
End the tedious inventory management game.

Remember that is hearsay, something some random person mentioned. Don't take it as gospel. But it seems to fit. When there were fewer people around on an anomaly boss kill, I did get boss xp more consistently. It is an all or nothing type deal.

I see, I hope Zos could just come out and clarify a lot of things in this game.

Understand that I have a different experience. I've seen a lot of players going through veteran content with me, specifically in the last few days (last week was awfully empty, and the week after Craglorn launched).

And when I am going through veteran zones and would like company, I usually group using that other wonderful feature of MMO's ... guilds. I only have three of the five slots used, mind you, but from those I have about 20 or so players on at a time to play with, half of that being veteran.

Guess I could join a guild with more than 100 people in it. I'm sure that would help. They are advertising themselves all over the place. But I like my closer-knit communities more I think.
