I hardly hear of people wanting to complete dungeons lately, and from what I've seen, it takes a particularly skilled group of players to complete them- which honestly I love the challenge and the hard work and feeling of accomplishment to take down some of the harder bosses.
The problem I see is, your team can try a dungeon for the first time, or hell even repeat one a few times and constantly wipe/fail/get destroyed on one particular boss. The moment comes where everything clicks just right, your team has figured out the patterns and you take him down with two team members left alive and at half health with the healer downed!!
Panting with excitement and /grats all around, anticipation sets in as you open your inventory! Only to see three items.. 1-2 potions, 1-5 soul gems, and a WHITE item.. White? Seriously?
There are delves in the game that have GUARANTEED green or better drops, every single item dropped is green. Why can't this be the same for Veteran Dungeons?
And one item? I know conparing games isn't always good, but killing a boss in a game like Diablo.. 5-7 items fall from the sky, 3 whites, 2 greens and a purple.. Even 100-200 gold would be great on top of a few whites!
It breaks your heart to have such measely drops especially with how brutal some of the dungeons can be. Your armor gets destroyed after constant failed attempts and when youfinally beat a boss that gives your team trouble? Absolutely nothing to show for it.
I have had runs in the past that literally had no rare drops.. At all. Thats a bit absurd. I love the challenge but there needs to be some balance implemented..
Either guaranteed good drops, or lghten up on the brutality a fraction so multiple runs are more desirable. You don't even come out of these dungeons any profitable outside of VP, I think thats why people don't do them often.
Just my two cents.
