Death Recap Feedback

wizzerd_lg_ESO
So Having experienced the Death Recap a few times since it was implemented, I can say it doesn't do me a bit of good. What powers were used on me and how much effect they had makes for interesting trivia the first couple times, but honestly, when I die it's because I wasn't paying attention to my health bar and got careless, jumping in over my head before it recharged, or getting stuck on a piece of terrain when I'm trying to maneuver around a tough mob, or having other mobs respawn while I'm maneuvering through them... It's a neat idea, but until our computers and the game client can do an ESPN style after action play by play, I'd rather just turn the thing off so it's one more UI element I can forget about popping up in my face as if I were unaware of my recent defeat.

Read the options listed below the death recap.
Notice that there are now 3, where there were 2 before.
Use the third/rightmost one (disable recap) and the recap is gone.

Some say this does not last after relog, but that is something you do only ocassionally anyway.
You can propably ask for a addon that disabeles it/shows more detaield data. When they added death recap they added a host of related API functions and Events Addons can use.

Death recap is ZOS way of steering everyone to cookie cutter builds when all they would have to tell you in Death Recap is "lol stop playing the way you want and play a light armor destro/resto magickla build...noob"

The numbers are somewhat helpful, but also create a great deal of envy for enemy skills (PvE) since our numbers are nowhere close. As for the suggestions, they could use a tweak:

    Death Report, the uber-patronizing version:

"Aaaawwww, you died. Now why did you go and do a stupid thing like that? Don't you know that to complete a quest, you have to be ALIVE when you receive your awesome and totally appropriate reward of totally appropriate awesomeness? Here's some suggestions, even though you may find them difficult to grasp:

Don't you know about our amazingly potent potions of amazingness? You can BUY them. You can BREW them. You could probably trade them in our full-access world marketplace, but that might hurt your purty little head while I pontificated on its delicate intricacies.

Have you ever considered using your skill abilities? These can be selected and placed on your ability bar, and use STAMINA or MAGICKA. Watch out, though, you could run out of these overly generous pools of power if you allow combat to last more than 2.3 seconds. Just a heads-up! :D

Perhaps advanced players might consider the incredibly effective tool of roll-dodging to avoid some, possibly slightly more, incoming damage. If used sparingly (like once), you might even be able to follow up this fabulous maneuver with another tastefully applied skill ability!

Do you REALLY want your equipment to degrade 10% every time you refuse to follow this eloquently purported advice? It's your gold, of course; but it is the esteemed opinion of the Unqualified Reporting of Death Entitlements Acquisition and Dispersal (UR-DEAD), that you should seek an alternative to allowing your character's HP bar to become completely bereft."

But only if they use the female voice of the AD marine who lost her squad in Khenarthi's Roost.
