It wasn't vet rank grind or bugs or nerfs or any of the myriad of other issues that, yes, have contributed to my decision...
...it was ZoS sending me a message on this forum.
Shortly after the 1.1.2 patch came out, I wrote a thread
here making some constructive suggestions. Unsurprisingly, it was lost in the wave of threads about 1.1.2, and disappeared off the front page of the forums faster than a botter with a speed hack.
So, I bumped it. Oh no, I hear you cry! You are in violation of the code of conduct!
How right you are. I did indeed knowingly violate the code of conduct, in an attempt to get a positive idea some limelight at a time when the forum was largely negative.
I posted the thread on May 23rd. On 2nd June, today, I receive an e-mail to my profile saying that my post, which had the single word "bump" in it, had been removed.
TEN DAYS after I have made that post they feel an urge to write to me to tell me they've removed it.
As if they don't have anything better to do.
It's an absolute joke.
Now, I know I'm going to get a lot of stick for this, because "hey, I'm unsubscribing" posts always result in "don't let the door hit you on the way out" responses. But while you're busy writing those responses, do remember that you're working with a company that think it is more important to delete "bump" threads posted ten days earlier than it is to fix the problems in the game.
Anyway, have fun with ZoS.....they write a good game (mostly) but they are the worst community managing company I've ever experienced in a game.
(P.s. in before the close)
