My Experience with ESO

I started the game with a Wood Elf bow Nightblade. Everything was good up until there was a second mud crab that decided to join the party . That is when things started going down hill for me. I learned I couldn't do the damage I needed to do fast enough to take out both of them. And then a third one shows up and it's game over. I need some type of AoE and Crowd Control.

Ok so them I go and get me a High Elf snobby Templar and boy biting jabs just ROCKS. I mean 3 mud crabs is no problem what so ever, and boy don't I look cool in my heavy armor all protected from my soon to be lunch and this big ole 2 handed slicing sword of death is over powered. I bet I could take out 10 of them at one time. Now life is good and I am moving through out the world and boy stuff gets a bit harder but I hide behind my shield and Invasion them and biting jabs and bash for the win. Now this works for 1 - 50 for almost everything except the nasty named so called Bosses. They didn't get the memo on how this was supposed to work. You let me shield slam you and biting Jabs and you DIE! Ok so Molag Bol was a royal pain in the butt but then I learned that I could heal and you know since the Gods were not allowing me to use the red potions at all during that fight and when they did I had to wait before I could drink more of them beyond the already long wait I just starting using my own Templar healing and the blue potions for the win!!!! 2K later in armor repairs and I was ready to take on the world. I finished up all the quests and grinded a bit in the local dungeon until I got to VR1. Now I am a God!!!

Well life is going ok but man those red lines and red circles sure do hurt alot MORE and mud crabs must have a nation wide calling plan because they got really toughen up shells. But I am still managing to crush them and boy doesn't my heavy armor look cooler. I got to the 2nd isle of the Elf world and was wacking my way to my home to visit the family when this God mob ZOS decided to have a Massive get together and passed out Gold uber armor, sticks of death to all, some made arrows with them, and Gym membership to all the mud crabs and friends and well now I spend all my time dodging every RED thing and running for my life until no Stamina and well then no health. Oh and all of a sudden my Biting Jabs was BITING ME! OUCH!

All kidding aside. I know Templars are a much different class then the others and this game is all about Burst DPS in the first few seconds for the win. I get that and I even have started to have to use many other things within the Templar line. Eclipse is actually a very good mage killing spell but why in the name of all things HOLY did you have to make the Quest VR stuff so over the top. I wanted to explore this and do these quests and I can understand it getting harder just OMG why did you make it much much much harder. Why even change this in the first place? I mean so what if people power leveled through it and are now going what now? Take a book from Everquest leave the old stuff alone and GOD mob the new stuff. Craglorn is where I spend my days now doing the grind because 1) it's easier to do really, 2) the loot is good stuff to decon and I only spend 1k total for repairs afterwards and 3) I get 1 VR level per night usually. I tried to do my VR2 Quest stuff at VR5 and spent a bit of time rethinking my approach and I am getting through it but it's just not fun any more whatsoever. Every fight is now a Boss fight, I have to step back and think about every stinkin fight and boy do I sneak a TON now and when I see 3 mobs huddled together snicker over whether I am stupid enough to challenge them I just sneak on pass them until I run into a bunch I have no choice but to go thru. What I used to do was accept I might die and at least I can get 1 or 2 of them before death but not now I do whatever makes them angry and bam I am dead and mocked with the new Death Recap. Ya like I really needed to know I died to Mud Crab uber claw of death for 2 trillion damage. Now the really depressing part is when I see some mage run up with the death stick for the win and just owns the mobs I just want to toss the sword and shield on the ground. Actually I went and got my own death stick but since I didn't start with it I am working my way up the skill line.

Now I want to be able to do the quests solo and with friends when we are all doing it but I don't want to have to wait for someone so we can take out the uber Mud Crab and I don't want to wear a bath robe and have to use a stick.

PUT the original VR Zones back to where they were and FIX the stamina based fighting to where we can compete with the magicka fighting. Fix the armor where it is worth wearing heavy armor. We have a DK tanking in Light armor and has no issues doing it! You adjusted my bashing and you adjusted My Biting Jabs that were really not over board and yet I could roll over all this stuff with my DK Fire Light Armored Mage like no tomorrow! Your priority seems a bit mixed up. A sword and board Templar is not OP whatsoever so why are you picking on us? Why pick on anyone at this point in the game when so much is not working yet?

Now I am not saying I want this nerfed or that nerfed. I like my Dragon Knight just fine and just the way he is and yes a few adjustments are warrented but instead of adjusting DK's first why not fix the other classes so all match up in one way or the other. Fix Stamina based weapon skill lines to where if the FOTM Sorc isn't paying attention and has to have some good skills or he dies a horrid death. I mean come on a bath robe wearing stick carrying half a sleep mage should be history QUICKLY when I slam my shield into his face and dice him up with my swords. He can come here and cry to mommy all he wants as I am going thru 10 VR levels of hell because I don't use the Stick of death for the win and I have to learn way more CC and WAY more dodge and rolls and way more Stamina management, he CAN LEARN way more paying attention, way more how to avoid being beaten to death. I don't mind the bolt escape I mind the bolt escape and then right back into the thick of it to drop whatever AoE that completely destroys any one stupid enough not to use the stick of death and wear a bath robe!

I don't want them nerfed I want you to FIX the Stamina based weapon lines and put the old Content back to where I want to play it again. I do the Craglorn grind because it's sad to say it's just more enjoyable. Same cycle of go here, Toss Volcanic Rune, AoE trash mobs and drop the Ultimate until Boss man dies and move to next spot and repeat and rinse. No quest, no nothing other then chat on TS and do the same routine over and over. It's more productive and less aggravating to do it, but it will get OLD very quickly. I don't want to roll other alliances toons and do the quest as a newbie. I want to do it with my gimped Templar that no one likes because we can't do Mud Crab DPS. I have spent 50+ levels on MY OWN getting him there and would like to be able to take a break from the grind and do the quests and get the other levels on my own if I choose to do so.

I laughed out loud during a quest in the DC starting isle when you are helping the Orc become a fighter and fight the sea snake. He said something about Watching out for the mud crabs because they are tough, now i am like OMG was he so right!
