I get an error when attempting to log in today, after playing successfully yesterday. "You've attempted to use an invalid or out-dated client. Please exit and update your client using the patcher."

Problem is, the launcher goes straight to play and is not initializing any kind of download, and there is no option to check the current build. I've reinstalled the launcher and it's still acting like there is nothing to patch.

I really don't want to have to download the entire game client. Again. For the 4th time since launch =(

What I now have:
Launcher Version 1.3.5.964404
Client Version 1.1.2.995904

Thanks.

Not much of a choice here.

Have you tried using the Check For Updates option?
  • Eire_Raven
Have you tried the Repair option, it may only need to re-download the latest patch.

Yes, I've tried those. Guess I'll just have to reinstall again and hope for the best. Any idea what versions I =should= have to get into the game now?

It's starting to do something...hehe. I downloaded the PC Client again and it reinstalled the launcher. I moved the launcher into the Elder Scrolls Online directory on my drive and now it's actually doing something - though why the directory location should have anything to do with it is beyond me. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Worked! Current game client version should be 1.1.3.998958 in case anyone else has a problem.

Not that it would've helped in this situation, but release #s in the patch notes would be great, as would having patch notes go live when the servers come up and not a few hours later (because some of us find this important).

    Thanks again. Problem solved.
