How VR 1-11 gear and craft became irrelevant with Craglorn

With the farming of red diamonds, you get huge xp AND blue/violet loot. So basically you level your craft freaking fast (I was around 40 in hireling and blacksmithing, every time I come back from Craglorn after 2 hrs of farming, I get 1 level in each crafting speciality, so I could be 50 in a day if I wanted).

Also, armor stats do not increase that much between VR levels, so everybody farms Craglorn with the gear they loot or the gear they had before Craglorn, cause who cares if you have like 10 armor points more 2 VR levels from yours ?

We know crafted gear is the best in game, but if you make it so that everyone can level up craft crazy fast with Anomalies loot, then there's no challenge left out of trait research (which is not a challenge if you have a guild with good crafters, they can make you a weapon with the trait in 5 sec).

Also, crafted sets are the best ones, but there are only a handful of them interesting and class/speciality oriented. Why not make sets that are for specific class ? I see everybody uses the sorcerers (only lootable really interesting set), vampires kiss and one or two more, nothing else.

There's a real need to change the kind of looted gear we earn by farming (make some of looted gear better than the crafted one would be a step, every though there are some cool sets, they are not good enough that you will want to farm instead of just craft something similar), the levelling of craft (too quick since craglorn) and the gap between gear tiers.

It needs huge work but I think it's one of the biggest flaw of the game right now (outside of bugs, technical issues etc).

    I agree, the gear stats and bumps from level to level make me really wonder about what they are thinking. In other games I have spent months grinding for that Best In Slot item and have used them for many months afterward, even through new content and level cap increases.

    Gear in this game seems completely superfluous. Most of the time, mine is broken and I don't even realize it.

    Gear is disposable here, even the super hard to get yellow stuff, that really isn't much better than the EZ blue stuff. When compared to other games it's like we're using plastic cutlery and paper plates vs the good silverware and china.
