EU vs. NA Motif drops

Played 100 hours of EU got 2 motifs looting EVERYTHING, 6 hours on NA i got 2 looting about half of everything. Prices are all much lower too . They give away 20 Daedra Hearts with a Daedric motif they sell for 45 - 50K, basic motifs are 500.

There may be more instances/more players, meaning more drop and prices go down but i asked in zone and the few people i chated with said they sometimes get 4 in one day/8 hours in the last week.

I'm not that lucky. Has anyone else noticed?
If real life had a block function i would go out more.

Proud to have spent a year paying to BETA test ESO for consoles.

    I think they dropped the droprate for Motifs with Craglorn or somewhat before it.
    But they seem to have increased it again. Found 3 books in the last two days alone (from mabye 1/week). I mostly loot contaienrs at the bank NPC to get them and recipes.

    Nothing dropped after searching everything over 3 days. Played for an hour on NA got another 1.

    I spent a while trying to get my crafting toon all the basic racials. After a month I had them all bar the Khajit, I bought it. 10 mins later I found one. Day after I found another.

    so it works for me, I don't think you should be able to farm them.

    that said I have 10 of them for sale in the guild store and they don't move quickly......

    I started the game when it released and I have my main with all racial styles except Deadric and Ancient Elves.

    I have a level 3 alt that has 62 of the racial motifs on her. I had to expand her bags to keep them all. They seem to drop pretty regularly for me and I'm on EU server.

    Since release? They dropped like rain from the sky for a time after release ofc you have loads.

    Further, the point was the difference between the 2 servers.

    Off topic but, why do you have an account on EU & NA? Or is it possible to play the same account on both (with separate installs)?

    Yes, select the 'other' region and the launcher will download the client .. you CAN get away with one client and file fiddling but IMO it's not worth the pain, disk space is dirt cheap these days.

    You get 8 characters per mega-server, you can't transfer characters from one to the other.

    FYI though, I have NA and EU accounts for LOTRO, WOW and Rift .. why? .. 'cos I have NA and EU friends!

    I started leveling an alt and found ~4 or 5 motifs by the time i was level 20. And i'm only at the beginning of the 2nd zone. On EU server aswell. I guess your just unlucky :/

    I play on EU and get so many motifs I've been giving them away just to clear inventory space. I don't even loot as many containers as most people do.

    Yes, its possible to play both on the same account.

    Anyway, I dont have two so I cant compare... But I do know one thing - RNG is always, always fishy. Even in GW2, there where alot of speculation that RNG was account based, because there where some seriously suspicious "lucky" characters while I know for a fact that loot/rewards where bugged for some characters. I had friends that for a long time could only get silver rewards even from soloing events start to finish! While others got gold from poking a single enemy just before the event ended. One member of my guild that barely played the game got around 20 precursors from the magic forge while others - far more hardcore gamers - got absolutely nothing. Seriously O.o

    And yes, this was even before the MF was detached from gear.

    Maybe ESO also have "rigged" RNG... Some people just got unlucky accounts.

    Wasnt too long ago since we read about that poll on motifs, people getting 5+ a week. Others get nothing since release.

    RNG = Random Number God, otherwise known as Sheogorath on Adderall.

    Attempting to predict his behavior is usually less then useful.

    Also, it's possible that they didnt push an update they may have needed to, version control for a game this size must be a nightmare.

    Yes, you can play on both clients with the same account with both installs.

    I was kicked of the EU server for a week with the 301 error, so played on the NA. Maybe they made my account lucky to cheer me up..

    Can you email stuff to someone on the EU server from the NA server? Bit off topic, but i was wondering.

    On topic, i find more than on motif a day in EU AD, last week 8 in 2 days. The prices have dropped, but i guess most people have found most in any case and they dont need replacing like armor..
    Still looking for the imperial though, it must be nice to be able to craft it on my woodelf instead of right click converting it.
