I am having a HUGE issue with soloing Malag (Last boss) Hes just stomping me like pre 80% just dont have any self heals please help. With suggestions / build. Ty so much in advance

Molag Bal, I am not getting hit from Mechanics just the General damage he does. I was currently full destruction Staff. But i tried healing staff,,,, It was HORRIBLE I have issues with adds now getting to him lol. Please try to help. I am using cloth gear atm also 7/7

If you could put a link to your talent / build calulator that would help ALOT and then explain why that build please. Been trying for a few days now to get this guy. I Am also looking to buy some Vet1 Glyphs..

Do you have Impulse or Pulsar at Destruction staff?
It helps me alot against Molag Bal adds.
My build, as i can remember, was like this:
1 Pulsar
2 Curse
3 Dark Conversion
4 Hardened Ward
5 Bound Aegis
Ult - Greater Storm Atronach

And HP-potion.
So, i used Pulsar on addons, and running with staff light attact on Molag Bal. Some times Heavy attack, when Molag stops and do something.
I don't stay at one place and keep a distance from them. Bound Aegis with Hardened Ward are greate help for survive in most situations, so i have ward always on.

Just block the adds, you do not need to attack them. And just kill Molag bal with light attacks while always moving. Heal as needed by using the staff or pots. It is an easy fight if you never stop moving.

He's big and scary and he hits like a truck. BUT, he has no self-heal and he's a lousy shot who forgets to lead the target. Those are your advantages.

I used a resto staff for the healing it gives on the heavy attack. That's the only skill I used. No spells, nothing. Just that long, slow burn. First priority is your own health. You MUST keep that up in case he hits you, so run away!

I spent all my time literally running round the outside of the arena. His shots falling behind me, watching my health bar creep back up to 80%+.
Once I had enough health, turn and give him a burn (just one) then run like all hell was after me.
It takes a long time but he can't heal remember?

The adds he calls are easy, believe it or not
If you block their shots, the projectile reflects and one-shots the mob itself. Pretty stupid of them really.

If you have, use Critical Surge. That alone is enough there coz your godlike damage, just have some crit chance.

If dont have, you could use a resto staff + heal spells. Resto staff heavy strike gives 10% max mana. Potions and cookies can help too.

Take the damage shield (annulment?) from the light armor set and spam it. Don't blow magicka on MB early, just slow burn him with your staff. Sounds like you didn't level a resto staff, so just toss a velocious curse on him and kite keeping your shield up.

When adds come out (65% I think), switch to AOE and impulse them down, keeping your block up at all times. The block also reflects their fireballs back at them. This combo should burn them down in seconds.

Last phase is actually the easiest phase. Continue to keep VC on him, reapplying after every explosion, and stay out of the red on the ground. That's it, just stay out of the red and it becomes an endurance fight. VC and light staff attacks are enough to kill him.

This was the strat I had to resort to with my sorc, as I hadn't bothered to level a resto staff at that point either. Though if I had it would have been pretty trivial with the heals.

Good luck! Don't give up, you can kill him.

I used the restoration staff for self heal, Dark Conversion is another option and both can be used too, in short you want some self heal as it will be a long fight.

as other say you can take him down with light attacks and you should always have enough magic to heal and stamina to dodge but it don't hurt adding some extra damage.

Block the ads, I did not know about this.

If you have a good critical chance, use Critical Surge with your Shards. Talk about self healing.

Details:

Step one equip Resto Staff
Step two engage Molag Bal, run around like a chicken and attack him from range
Step three Titans: Block and look funny at the titans while they kill themselves with their blue bolts
Step for: kite molag bal the god(?) to death in the most anti climactic end fight ever.

Block the adds, the reflected damage will kill them. And Molag Bal you just keep using heavy attack while moving backward all the time, when red circle appears on the ground you stop the heavy attack and run in same direction as you already are in a huge circle, when outside the red circle on the ground, you start heavy attack again. Just stay out of red circle, be patient cause it will take time, block when the adds attack (while they attack Molag Bal wont do anything) and you will be fine

Not a sorcerer but this is a thread about bal so....I'm a nightblade: I have dual wield and bow at 50. I use Killers blade and ambush from the assassin line, and Swallow Soul, agony, and leeching strikes from the siphoning line.

What would be the best way for me to take him down.

Just shoot him with the bow as you move around and use siphon to heal occasionally. It is SUPER EASY!

Templar - luckily I leveled up 2h and used the Aylied Fire Sword I got ..there is a big rock cropping on the right hand side...like everyone said block the ads..then I just ran in a circle around that cropping...Bal is a big dumb lummox..run in circle, wait for his heavy attack then go in and critical rush then wrecking blow - runnnnnnnnnnn/// if he hit me heal up since i am not using magicka do it all again. Once he got lower in health I got braver and threw fire at him but never to the point I could not self heal.

We're talking about a magicka character, so the Power Surge morph is the right one.
