Will there be enough community that isn't discouraged by the plethora of other things that are far more irritating, such as combat lag and endless loading screens? Time will tell.

Excuse me!! part of this game is mining ore, I'm sick to death of running up to nodes and they vanish before my eyes.
Don't tell me what to play!!
Most of the games I've played prefer to ban bots in waves rather than as soon as they are found.
The reasoning behind this is so they can monitor the bots over a period of time to better learn their patterns of behavior and interaction with the game so they can better write scripts that can detect other bots that haven't been reported yet with less real players being being mistakenly banned.
Given the number of legitimate accounts that have been banned incorrectly during their previous attempts to deal with bots, I think it's safe to assume they have adopted this method as well.
Bots are a lot like hackers though in the sense that you can never really get far enough ahead of them in the industry to defeat them completely. Sometimes, you just have to grin and bear it and trust the game developers to take care of the problem.
Ranting about it on the forums just pressures them into making more hasty decisions that are more likely to inconvenience real players than the bots.
