Huge Game Breaking Bug. 1 Week No Response.

Alright, let me start off by saying that I have logged a ticket in and the ticket ID is 140519-033233. The only reason I am posting here is because, that ticket was initiated exactly a week ago, and I got a response where they asked me to answer a couple questions about the problem, to which I answered, and they have been silent ever since.

Now let me explain what happened.
I had been logged in for about 2 hours leveling up in coldharbour (Half a level off 50), when I enter a solo dungeon named : ''The Wailling Maw''. Now keep in mind that nothing was out of the ordinary before this. I load into the dungeon like normal ~5 seconds of loading, and I appear in the dungeon NAKED(Other then the underwear) and all my skill bars were empty. My first thought was ''Weird, why did my gear unequip?'' and I open my inventory to equip them again, and low and behold, my inventory was empty (Except 4 items which appear to be the last 4 I picked up) including all my equipped gear. At this point I had no clue what was going on, I log out and log back in (With no problem) to see if it was just a bug, but still everything was gone. Then I started noticing other big things, all my gold was still there (56000), ALL my USED skill points were completely gone (Effectively making me absolutely useless) however my attributes were untouched. Hell, even my imperial steed that I had been leveling up almost everyday since launch had dissapeared completely. Upon request from the support team, I checked my ingame bank, and low and behold, that was empty too.

Now normally bugs don't annoy me very much, but in this case, it has stopped ALL of my progression and has rendered that game unplayable, a game that I might add that I am paying 15$ to play, on top of my imperial edition that now all the items and benefits it gave me are gone.

I'm not quite sure what else to do but post this, and hopefully something clicks and the support team can get back to my ticket and resolve this issue. I have already lost valuable game time(That I payed for) and progression in the game (Such as steed leveling - because it doesen't exist anymore apparently).

    Yet another day with no response whatsoever. I have to reply to myself in my own ticket to prevent it from closing itself down due to the ''If we don't hear from you in x amount of time, we will consider it resolved'' stuff.

    Well that's really strange. You deserve an answer but I doubt you will get one until tomorrow. I bet they are working on a Skeleton Crew at the moment due to holidays. If that happened to me then I think I would be really upset. I wont say the words or the thread will be locked.

    The weird thing about these tickets is you don't even get a message confirming that your issue is in the working queue.

    On the other hand if you report a bot or sth similar there is always an auto-reply thanking you.

    They just answered my ticket saying that it's a very serious issue and they are still investigating. And that they are doing everything they can.

    Atleast it's a response, but far from an actual fix. Here's hoping it's sometime soon.

    You aren't the only person to have this problem. It has happened intermittently since launch. Search forums for missing items or skills. I don't know if anybody has got it resolved yet.

    wow, sorry to hear that, especially on a bank holiday. glad that they at least acknowledged the problem. it sound catastrophic and i bet the devs are scrambling to make sure it isnt replicating thru the server

    As per your suggestion, I did a quick search for missing skill points in the forum and found 1 thread from April 15th.

    It looks like reseting your skill points at a shrine gave him all of them back, but seeing as I have already reset twice, and that I have probably over 60 of them spent (Can't say for sure) the cost would ridiculous and I would have to spend most if not all my gold to get them reset. The only way I can see it being a possible fix is if because they are completely gone, it doesen't count them as being spent. Ill have to check it out once I get off work later tonight.

    He also lost his items like me, but it's not very clear if he got them back or just a couple or any at all, he also mentionned they couldn't see his horse, but it didn't mention if he got it back either...

    Just another update, I got an another response to the ticket today indicating that the issue was escalated again and that because of the unique nature of the problem and how many items were lost they would need to contact a specialist to retreive them. They will email me back when they have more information.

    Atleast it's going somwhere now.

    Sounds to me like you got hacked.

    Did you happen to buy any gold prior to this happening?

    If you read his post he said it happened whilst entering an instance not while logged out. I suspect his character data got corrupt during the transfer to the instance server or something along those lines. I'm glad that they are now dealing with this buddy.

    THey have a backup of every item so rest assured, you will get your items back.. eventually.
    ALso make sure to demand your game time back

    I know you already posted again later on, but just to answer the question. No I have never bought any gold or any ''Illegal services'' in the game. Also, the chance that someone would hack the account and would chose to wipe my skill progression and skill points completely (Somehow) instead of stealing the 56000 in gold, while i'm logged in, would be pretty slim and interesting to me.

    Like another post mentionned, it's definetely a bug (Albeit a pretty weird one), and one that I am still waiting for a fix.

    It's definitely a bug as multiple people on this forum have had the exact same thing happen. It's not hacking as if somebody logs into your account while you are logged in, you get booted out (you can't spawn same character twice for obvious reasons too).

    As for everything being backed up mentioned above... Man, tell that to the people who haven't been able to get lost items back (e.g. bank bug).

    nlt, let us know what happens. I want to know for future if anybody who has this problem manages to get it fixed.

    As for everything being backed up mentioned above... Man, tell that to the people who haven't been able to get lost items back (e.g. bank bug).

    Yeah, I've heard about the bank bug before, though when what happened to me is a bit different, I had never heard of a bug that reset and deleted all skills at the same time as whiping your inventory and bank. There doesen't seem to be an abundance of people with this problem aswell.

    In any case, day 11. Still no fix.

    Just got another response from the support team. This is what he had to say:

    ''I just wanted to keep you in the loop. I'm still working with the other department to gather the relevant information, but it may take a few more days. I understand how incredibly frustrating this must be, but as I mentioned before I will make sure to review how long this issue has stopped you from playing once we have a resolution.

    I apologize for the delay, and for all the frustration caused.''

    So it looks like ill get my time back, but the fix is still a ''A few days'' out.
    Well, according to my last payment, my next one should be on the 4th, I.E next wednesday. If the issue isin't resolved my bare minimum tuesday (That will give them 16 days to fix it) I will be forced to unsub. Not going to pay another 15$ to not play.

    Atleast the guy sending me the emails is trying to help.

    I don't know about that, at least when the mud crab was delivering the responses to my cry for help, I could see why it could take up to 28 days to get one.

    Listen. I'm a huge supporter of your game. However, this is completely UNPROFESSIONAL. This should not have been going on for a week. This should have been taken care of immediately. A bug like this should have been fixed the second you learned of it.

    Just to give you an idea of what you are looking forward to, this same thing happened to me a while ago. It was on my V3 sorc. Character lost all of her skill points that had been spent which was around 130. I lost all equipped gear and gear in inventory. It took them over 2 weeks to grant me a skill point respec and I still haven't received any of the items that I lost.

    During my time waiting I began leveling a second character which passed my sorc in level, now my sorc has been demoted to nothing but a crafting toon.

    Wow, that's ridiculous. You haven't received a single item back? Including your horse? Are you sure your ticket is still open? Because as I can see it, even if your waiting for them to respond, if you don't reply for 7 days the ticket gets closed. (As I undertsand it)

    As for what your doing. I can't bring myself to make another character knowing the one I already spent so much time on is just useless, and that at any moment, a simple instance change can make me loose all my progression.

    I keep getting the emails and responding to the emails to keep the ticket open because the problem isn't resolved. I used to put in a bug report on a daily basis, however after nearly a month of that I stopped. I spoke to quite a few Game Master types as well through the in game help system.

    I'm not interested in getting those items back anymore though, was more my point. All of the gear has been replaced, horse has been replaced, even the trophies and quest reward type items(yes, I did save those) has been replaced. None of this was replaced by Zenimax though. I replaced everything myself through crafting and leveling another toon. (Not implying that this is the answer.)

    I'm not here asking for help/ideas/whatever for my situation, no need to comment on that. I posted to give the OP an idea of what they had to look forward to.

    So again I say, You will get your skill points reset. But, don't hold your breath on any items getting returned.

    You're probably right. Day 15 now, still no skillpoints and items. I am unfortunetly unsubing today, seeing as I payed on the 3rd of May, and my subscription should be renewing today, but I haven't even been able to play for litteraly half of my paid game time.

    If they manage to fix it, I might come back. But here's hoping wildstar gets decent reviews, because I might end up playing that.

    Wow - this is unbelievable customer service. I am no MMO programmer - but cant they go back to the date this happened and roll that toon back to its former glory? Why is this such an insurmountable issue?
