NO thanks. PLEASE stop suggesting all these moronic lore-destroying add-ons.. PLEASE!!

It's ironic you keep talking about 'destroying Lore,' being as you appear to have no knowledge of what is and isn't a part of the Lore. You keep making comments in different threads making claims that certain things aren't a part of the Lore when in fact, they are.

OK, so show me then, where have I been wrong wrt to lore? Huh? Come on! And no links to Shoddycast's Youtubes, please.

    http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Centaur

Pretty easy to find, have a nice day.

That doesnt justify them being playable, just because they exist.

In fact, with the technical hurdles its a terrible idea.

Same reason wow doesnt have playable naga.

Lol I know it mentions highrock as a place but does not mention that Lamia come from there but the wikia site does.

I use both and I KNOW uesp is more comprehensive but it can also be a but more superficial and wikia can add some depth SOMETIMES.

Nothing there says I have been wrong with my concerns about lorefriendliness. Also, he said PLAYABLE races. Lumia and centaurs never were their own nation-states, which is what use to be the defining status for playable races in ES games.
Oh - and elderscrolls.wikia.com is ***, it is on level with Shoddycast. Use www.uesp.net instead.

As if this game's lore was so sacrosanct as is.
Lamia are good enough to join the fight in Coldharbour. I mean we have playable Imperials and they're supposed to be enemies. We can choose any race/faction if we preordered and no one notices.

Nothing about the story changes depending on your race choice, so who gives a *** if an intelligent monster race was added? All that BS about "nation-states" You just pulled that out of your ass as a deciding factor, as if the company that makes the game can't suddenly decide to change anything at any time.

Umm... use your head maybe .... here is why I research on multiple sites for lore I have not remembered fully

See ? Wikia sometimes gives more comprehensive detail on a search. Now no more responses please. I did my research and made my point of view and picked up on a few posts that declared a fact that is not a fact.

How about Goblins ? They would be a LOT of fun and are on the brink of being civilised.

No. Dwemer have long since been extinct at the time of ESO's setting. Snow Elves, there are only two left of, in a hidden valley in Skyrim. Falmer - how would you realistically play a _blind_ race? Besides, there is no evidence of Falmer outside Skyrim (OK, Solstheim, but that is not in the game at this point) so it would kinda limit the opportunities....

Just to clarify, theres no intel about them being extinct, only missing at some point of the history (with many theories around).

Tho, I agree with you. Theres no need to mess with what its been like it is for all of the TES saga so far.

It's possible. There's very little info available on the Tsaesci. It's possible that they are related in that they come from the same original stock, like the way that the Altmer are related to the Orsimer.

This is why We stopped responding. They're ignorant to the actual Lore in spite of claims to the contrary, there's no reason to fight with them because they can't actually recognize and admit that they're wrong even with the fact glaring them squarely in the face.

Roughly five centuries by the time the game is set. Also, anyone who played through Morrowind should have a pretty solid grasp on what happened to the Dwemer, even if their characters don't.

Well, I forgot which game had this, but once you unlocked a high level, you could play as a monster, only, it was in their own world/instances, with their own stories and quests.

Taking this into a plausible way of implementing the OP's wish, just for argument/discussion's sake, it would then open up a 4th faction in pvp, player controlled monsters.

I agree that having giant snakes, lamias, hags etc, roaming in Tamriel would not work, if they were in their own areas, like an oblivion plane for example, then I do not think it could harm the game or the immersion.

    Just my 2 cents :)

That would be Dragon Age Origins DLC. Interesting concept, but not for ESO.

Snow Elf is Falmer. I wanna play as a Dwarf. Since dwarfs are long since dead or at the very lest missing. Can I play as an undead? Not a Vamp, but a Lich. Yeah, I wanna be a Lich.

Nah, Darkspawn chronicles was just "assault Denerim", there wasn't actually a story beyond, "kill all your main game followers."

They might be thinking of LotRO. I know it had monster play at higher levels, though I don't know if they actually had unique content.

For awhile Star Trek Online's Klingon faction worked a lot like this too. Most of the game they were just enemies you mowed down, but once you hit 20, they'd unlock as playable, with their own episode chains. (Before F2P they unlocked at level 6, and you needed to grind your eyes out on cluster missions or PvP to actually do their content.) Now they're available without any unlocks, along with the Romulan faction.

I know there's another MMO I'm forgetting... *shrugs*

    Lamia: Would not work.
Falmer: Are blind, so unless your screen is black with nothing but the UI, nope.
Snow Elfs: They are nearly extinct, ten player snow elfs would account for half their species?

All of these would damage Elder Scrolls Online lore to have hundreds of players running around as these. Plus they do not fit in in any of the three factions, plus the first two are generally regarded as enemy's by all three factions.
Much like WoW's Naga, ESO's Lamia will not work. For one they wont be able to jump straight up and down or at all. Simply put, I doubt you'll ever see any playable race with less or more than two legs.

Also, this game dosent need more races.
    Is 10 not enough?
A Fourth faction would be rediculous and you can't add Lamia to any of the existing three. Otherwise I want to play as a Dremora with red skin and horns.

Realistically, the best way to add new races to the game would be to add the continent of Akavir, and have a new faction based there. In fact, I hope that when they eventually do a big expansion, that's what it will be.

Oh I don't know, playing a skoad could be interesting in a slime coated way. Think about it, no other game has a playable humanoid slug race. Natural armor, ability to look in several directions at once, carries its home on its back, and non stop slime! Why this would fix housing issues and provide slippery slime for all to walk on! Bring on the skoad!
