Gear colors after patch

Not sure where you may be taking feedback on the patch, so trying this form area. It's not really something broken, but feedback on preference in case you are collecting it.
They seem too bright and, dare I say, leaning toward World of Warcraftish. As well, I picked what was a fairly realistic skin tone for my high elf toon, but now the skins looks kinda plastic. Not sure if the skin changed, or it's the look due to the increased brightness of the gear.
The overall look prior to patch seems more realistic prior to patch. Getting the opportunity to use more colors is great, and maybe to you need to balance colors of gear if some seems too similar, which is great. But the increased brightness really ruins the 'feel' of the game for me. My imperial gear prior to patch was really bad ass, now I cant wait to find other gear to get rid of it.
