Game barely works after new patch

I haven't had a single problem with lag, the game crashing to desktop, returning to loading screens, or booting me back to character selection screen ever before but since I updated with the newly released patch today, I have had every single one of these problems in the past 10 hours. I don't know how many others have been affected this way but the new patch is clearly causing far more problems than it solved. I can't play for more than 15 minutes without getting stuck in the ground or being kicked to a loading screen or the character selection screen. When I can play, I'm experiencing so much lag that it's almost pointless to try. I tried turning all graphics options down low which helped a bit but not enough. I just hope these issues can get solved soon because I love this game and I really want to be able to spend my free time with it.

I have the same issues and on top of that my progress is not being saved.

The only progress that doesn't seem to be getting saved for me are skyshards. Also, I think I may have a skill point that cloned itself once. I don't want to keep putting it on things if it screws something up long term.
