Stuck on loading screen (Prior to Character Select)

Yeah, I log in fine, then get an infinite loading screen after successful login.

Any ideas?

alt tabbing out and then alt tabbing back in seemed to fix it for me

these kind of stuck/freeze while loading are most of the time due to lag (I know in EU we have lots of them)
currently the patch is being downloaded by thousands of players this could be what make the game lag a bit for the time being
most of the time I hit alt+f4 and retry logging in, once or twice do the trick

same issue, closing and restarting doesn't help, tried many many times.

same issue , stuck on loading before charecter selection , trying out different way to bypass it , no success yet

It fixed for me after i did repair , getting a lot of game crashes after 1.1.2 tho...

this was all posted back in May. I am still having the issue. Just have to give up and play another day currently.
