AMD CrossFireX with new 1.1.2 (check here if your box is not working, maybe helpful)

mikescchen
OK long story short.
1. It WORKS, but will need some setting in CCC.
2. You'll have to EITHER check the "Enable AMD CrossFireX for applications that have no associated application profile" in Gaming --> AMD CrossFireX,
3. OR create a custom profile for eso.exe in Gaming --> 3D Application Settings.
4. Unlike the fullscreen wrapper in this forum earlier, other tools such as FRAPS or MSI Afterburner will not break the CrossFireX, which is to be excpected.
5. If your CrossFireX still not working, try checking your UserSettings.txt in:
C:\Users\(username)\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live
See if the GraphicsDriver.7 is set to D3D11.
The CrossFireX will NOT work if set to D3D9.
The default is D3D11, so most ppl should not have this problem.
6. (not confirmed yet, but) Using custom profile and set the CrossFireX Mode to "Optimize 1x1" seems to have best result so far.

My box can now run with 50~60 fps in Wayrest, instead of 28~50 without CrossFireX.

The spec goes as:
AMD FX-6350 @ 1.375V(undervoltage) / 3.9GHz
MSI 7850 PowerEdition OC @ 950/1200MHz, dual card
8GB DDR3-1600
Windows 8.1 x64
CCC 14.4 WHQL

The ESO setting is:
Texture: High
SubSampling: High
Shadow: Medium
Water: Medium
Particle: Medium
View Distance: 50
All other effects on.
