Only if it was that simple. ZoS are trying to fix the performance the last 2 years and I cannot deny that they try. It is not successfully but they try. If you calculate how much money were wasted in these tries (in form of salaries, missing opportunity to use these developers for something else, losing customers because of bad performance and so on). Dont you think that the people on top will not calculate how much it will cost to increase the server power vs these attempts? I really doubt that the best servers will cost more than what ZoS spent in the last 2 years.

Thank you. I could not bring myself to say anything as it would have turned on me and upset je even more. I understand how trolls work so best thing i could do was report them and then make sure this issue gets looked at. I know zos dont tolerate this kind of bad behaviour.

Most important: Do not feed the trolls. Do not respond to a troll. Do not argue, or try to derail or troll back. Report them if they are breaking terms of service. Disciplinary actions - if any - are not your concern.

Trolls exist because too many people just can not pass a starving troll without giving them a snack of attention. It may be hard, but breathe deep, count to 10 and do not feed a troll.

There's just one problem with this. If this current test was to be implemented, the only viable way to PvP would be to ball group. Not all of us have the time or energy to play this way and there is a lot of solo players who like to be the ad-hoc support/healer during sieges etc.

If cross healing is indeed the problem, why not make it so you can't receive the same heal more than once? We've all seen organised group streams and how they have 12 rapid regens stacked on their buff bars at all times. It's a bit silly.

Another thing would be dots and procs. If you're already affected by Hunter Venom proc, you shouldn't be able to receive another one until current runs out or you cleanse. Just the other day i got chased by a zerg and received 17 procs of Venomous Smite in 1 (ONE) second! The game couldn't keep up, so I was completely locked out of any skills, which is understandable. Receiving 34000 damage per second would not be survivable by any means regardless but it just shows, that the game can't keep up (on server I was obviously registered as deceased but in game I was still alive, until I was disconnected).

ZOS needs to consider their next move carefully.

@ForeverJenn , I'd like a bit more context from your original post. Because no matter how you look at it, 5-8k Group dps is extremely low and I've never actually seen that. I always saw 10k+ group dps.

What was the dungeon? normal or vet? dlc or base game?

There are cases where combat metrics show "wrong" info, because if some mob get stuck somewhere (behind a wall or under the ground etc, happens more often than not) they won't lose aggro on you and you get stuck in combat for a long time.
This messes up the combat metrics fight report because the addon computes dps by taking all the dmg dealt and dividing it by fight time. So you will start seeing very low dps numbers compared to what you'd see normally because "stuck in combat" situation makes the addon consider a very long time period as the "fight time". (This happens to me all the time in blackheart haven dungeon, damn harpies ignoring physics)

Thank you very much! Now I get your point. I do agree that not attacking is why some people do extremely low dps. I watch DDs closely when I see super low group dps, some people don't attack the boss half of the time. They are just moving around and occasionally doing a light attack or two. Most just move around too much and have very mismatched weapons. Like 2 hander on 1 bar and the lightning staff on the other.

Also, here's an "afk parse" (holding down attack button and doing absolutely nothing else) from a stamplar,


Max CP (properly allocated for a stamplar in pve), best gear (Selene + Deadly + Perfected Relequen) all fully upgraded and with best traits. And yet it's 34% less dps than an "afk parse" done by a double pet sorc using easy to obtain gear...

Honestly, genuinly dont understand what you think you are proving with such parses. I think I have rebutted matters enough in my other comments. But, I mean, Zaan, a set completely and utterly out of reach for the vast majority of average, casual gamers, who are literally the folk were talking about here. Geez.

Back in the day, stamina morphs for class abilities were very rare and the relatively large number of stamina weapons made up for it. As ZoS has added stamina abilities and morphs to classes, the relative number of stamina and magicka weapons has made less sense.

These kinds of gimmick parse posts are misleading

If you are a high CP player, with correctly allocated CP to buff you, wearing powerful meta sets, with optimised traits and enchants, correct mundas etc, yes you can achieve this kind of result. Ive done it myself out of interest.

But the average, casual player, the ones who are doing 5k, 10k, 15k dps etc, they often dont have anything like the additional buffs/power from CP you are benefitting from. Heavy attacks alone can be buffed by what, 25+% with CP? They are generally not wearing among the most powerful DPS sets in the game, like you are. They are wearing trash. Not to mention the traits and enchants that you will have optimised, not to mention the purple/gold gear you will be using... all things the average, casual player is unlikely to have anywhere near to the same standard or degree.
