The vampire is a costume, not a houseguest. Looking at the descriptions of the houseguests... the guard just patrols on the path you set. The khajiit will speak with you and other visitors in your home, aside from walking the path you set. So the additional price is from the additional function.

I know someone who went through this just the other day and there's no way to "gift" it. You could buy them a gift card that covers the full cost though or paypal them the money, etc.. (unless you know them well enough to let them just use your card but probably best to do one of the other options I mentioned).
Or can just buy greymoor from retailers and they sending you digital key to redeem code on official eso site. You can give them this code as a gift.
Dont see why zos should ban you for gifting game to your friends/family.

There's NO FUNCTION to "select Gift" for Expansions, only for DLC.

As for raid dummy its always been off slightly. It grants 100% uptime on Major Force which isn't exact either.
Why is the ICE staff needed. It has never been that good for tanking, the cast time makes it pointless in tanking difficult content. What is happening that makes it necessary?
No one ever really used it to taunt anything. Now, it will apply brittle, via the blockade.

also, thank you for explaining the disparity of how I was doing exactly the same thing as this guy, and yet getting much lower result, EVEN while wearing decent sets, using the same class etc.
but seriously... a lot of people here severely underestimate just how much movement can cut into personal output in this game for people like me.
zone chat is instanced too
it is bad enough that we do not have a group finder for arenas or trials, or at least some kind of room where we see and accept people in a group. You can hardly find players to do content, sometimes groups cancel the gathering because they can't find a tank. Meanwhile in another instance of a map, people are searching for groups in the zone chat.
a guildie asked me in guild chat for a tank, i joined the group today and we needed one more healer, I asked the group leader to ask in zone chat, i saw no messages from him. He said what am i talking about, he asks every minute. When i joined his group i was asked to join his instance but declined. So this makes it clear that chat is separated by instance. Can chat be not separated by instance? to make it easier for people to talk and find groups?
and the "make groups with your guild" excuse is worthless, not all of us are good enough to be in active pve guilds, and those guilds anyway have strict schedules when they are online and do activities, guildies are not all the time available to do whatever content the rest wanna do.

I've been doing a lot of parsing.
If you have a source of Minor Brittle, things are about the same. If you don't, your DPS is going to drop. I am fine on my magwarden when I use a frost staff on my back bar, and my self-buffed parse numbers are about the same.There's a drop if I don't, but it's not a massive drop. Still not a lot of fun that they killed the buffs that my class relies on for DPS.
The trial dummy is a mess right now- they added major vulnerability but it's unclear whether it applies 100% of the time. I assume that it does because my DPS shot through the roof this week and it averages out to be about 10% higher. The thing is that it's extremely unrealistic to have that uptime, especially if you're not stacking necros in your group. If I take 90% of my parse number as the "true" number (especially since the groups I run in don't typically have necros), then things look similar to the self-buffed parse: as long as minor brittle is applied, my DPS is the same. I know that the dummy this week was updated to automatically have brittle, but my ice staff parses before that were averaging out to be the same as now.

Movement speed armor and riding
My riding speed isn't any faster with movement speed armor, but it used to be. When Rapids was removed, did they also remove the armor speeds from riding?

Switches, puzzles, and lockable doors.
Are there any plans to implement some kind of trigger system that will allow us to link a clockwork switch or example to a door. Turning the switch on and off would open/close the door.
Also. Are there any plans for a puzzle lock system that locks doors unless a puzzle is solved (like the puzzle quest chain from Solitude).
A simple system like this will allow for some interactivity and the ability to breath more life into our homes.

I mean if they offered a shell NPC, something you can turn into another player, an alternate character of the owner, or an NPC of their choosing would be awesome. ZoS could even use it to drum up more revenue by offering change tokens for when you are sick of (for instance) Dorian being too smexy, buy a token and turn him into one of your own characters. I'm sure there would be a lot of coding involved, but I think it would be a very cool thing to have.
