With the reconstruction system coming, I doubt ZOS wants people to have all of them in any trait after a single week of farming.

I’ve been farming for the BSW inferno staff for six years. I won’t stop until I get it. I’ve only wanted one, so I would have stopped at that point anyway and never entered the City of Ash again since I already have multiples of EVERY OTHER PIECE from that place 🤪

I need to know his weight loss secret. For years I’ve tried EVERYTHING but diet and exercise and still haven’t lost an ounce.

I LOVE the idea of having an NPC like Ahnassi (from the original Morrowind) as a houseguest! Actually, a character like that would make sense as one you would earn in game by doing their quests and choosing appropriate options.

I'm one who think more effort needs to be done to lift DPS, because it's for the most part atrocious.
And if 80% of PUGS is super low damage that's not only the fault of noobs but it's also on ZoS to better teach their mechanics and for the community to help teach players.

When we have to analyze normal DPS we have to be fair in our assesment.

For people below CP160 you can't expect any sort of gear at all, since they haven't hit armor cap they'll just wear whatever trash they find and slap together.

Also you can't compare a meta CP 810 with CP500 who doesn't know what he's doing and you definitely can't compare it with a level 45 with no CP points.

If people really want to see what they're doing on a dummy put yourself into a "newbie doing normal dungeon's" situation:

-Wear some random armor pieces that doesn't give full 5 piece bonus
-Use random sub-uptimal traits, don't add new glyphs to it
-Remove your CP points
-Don't use pets for your passive DOTs (half the classes don't have access to pets to do their damage for them)
-Don't use monster helmet (It's normal dungeons afterall we're talking about)

The above are all crutches and doesn't define skills (knowledge of skills, buffs, applying DOTS, spammable, weaving)

What numbers can you pull here standing still doing heavy attacks? 3k? That would be my guess. Maybe less.

If PUG players was taught much better how to do damage my random normals wouldn't be sitting at 10k group.

Even DD players with no CP/bad gear/no monster helmet can pull 10k by their own if they applied DOTS with their spammable. If they used food and weaving they might even pull 15k. CP810 players forget how much help they get from their CP, armor and monster helmets and it's a luxuary noobs don't have.

In conclusion the average player really need much more knowledge but don't ever compare uptimal CP810 with low level/CP noobs. The "I can do 20k just applying dots and light attacks" is a really misleading argument.

I've had plenty of cases where I've asked multiple times in zone chat where the active storm is, only to be met with silence. So while I'm porting around trying to find it myself, I'll spot it in the distance and start riding (or running, on my alts that had Rapids taken away from them by ZOS) in that direction only to see the sky clear and a group of players riding towards me at the wayshrine.

So I wait 15 - 20 seconds after they have all ported away, and ask again in zone chat where the storm is. Surely they're still en route and not too busy to answer, right? Wrong. I'll start porting around again, find the storm, and get there to find the same folks have almost finished off the current storm. If I'm lucky, I can get in a couple hits and get credit, but often times I arrive too late.

While contemplating all this, it occurred to me why a coordinated group has no interest in telling folks where the storm is. It's quite likely that they might think that I (or any other random person in the zone) would be the guy who doesn't know the mechanics, and they don't want some clueless person running packs of trash around, training shrikes to their location, whacking on the wrong pike and spawning extra bosses, killing their stunned ghosts, or what have you.

In the same way that some PUG dungeon groups are hampered by the play of certain individuals, the overland version of a mechanic-ized dungeon (the harrowstorm) can also be made more difficult than it has to be. The only difference is that there's no vote kick available at these public events, so you're stuck with whoever shows up.

Like this it works:

travel between these 3 shrines:

giants coast
northern watch
southern watch (from here you see chillblain, old karth and black morass)

If you see no storm from one of these, it is currently hailstone valley, so travel to the Morthal wayshrine.

Now, if you just started, do NOT ride yet to the current storm, as it might end already in some seconds.

Instead, wait until it collapses, then do the 3 wayshrine tour again. And NOW ride to the currently active storm, as this time it just started so you can reach it even without rapids.

From this point on, repeat the tour, you now are in sync with the respawns and should no longer miss one.
