how the heck am i suppose to taunt everything? its madness.
You can't! I(NB tank) only taunt bosses and boss level adds. For trash I use an aoe to get their attention and trap them with caltrops. If your group rush in before you and draw all the aggro to themselves, it's not your fault.
Rigurt the Brash.
I can't help it, everytime I see him appear in another chapter/dlc I just have to chuckle at the mishaps we've gone through and I go ahead and help him through his next poorly planned (but well intentioned) scheme. Seeing him pop up every so often as I go world traveling always brings a smile to my face.
Otherwise I'd say Naryu Virian. (I know I know, everyone seems to like her...) But she was the first npc I met (my first character started with the morrowind training scenario) so we had a special connection from the start, and helping her (and vice versa) throughout the quests has been very fun. That and I love her attitude towards life in general.
I loved to hate General Tanval Indoril from Stonefalls as an ally. He was so arrogantly certain that he was doing the right thing while my Vestige was like "Hold up, using necromancy ancestral worship to unleash a volcano is generally what the bad guys do..."
I really enjoyed getting to know Valsirenn and Iachesis from Summerset. Valsirenn is older and has experienced loss that deeply effected her, yet she handles it much more maturely than most of ESO's characters with similar backstories. Likewise, Iachesis was a refreshing subversion of the "wise old mentor" and a notable contrast to the attitude of his two most famous students: Mannimarco and Venus Galerion.
There are other characters I liked. Eveli's bubbly naivete was a fantastic foil for my older, bitter Vestige in Orsinium. Aranias finding fulfillment as the Wilderqueen instead of the Veiled Heritance. Queen Marsha holding the Covenant together in the background. I could go on and on.
But those are the ones who made the biggest difference in my characters' stories.
