Xbox Patch Notes v1.38.1.0 | Update 44 Incremental Patch 1

The Elder Scrolls Online v1.38.1.0 fixes issues identified post Update 44 launch. The first console incremental patch for Update 44 address issues in Gold Road, Greymoor, Imperial City, Orsinium, Scions of Ithelia and Base Game content. We address some medaling and inactivity issues with 2-Sided Battlegrounds, fix missing quest markers for enchanting and alchemy writs and resolve various text errors. We also have a fix for the Battlemaster’s Worm Fang which now correctly grants the associated runebox. We have various other fixes and adjustments listed below for this incremental patch, which is approximately 1.7GB in size.

General

A line in Tanlorin’s quest is now translated to reflect Spanish and Simplified Chinese.
Zerith's Strands of the Lattice now correctly target corpses.

Banner Bearer Grimoire

Fixed an issue where this Grimoire, when paired with the Cavalier's Charge Signature, would produce an incorrect amount of Weapon and Spell Damage. It will now grant a listed amount of Weapon and Spell Damage, rather than a percentage amount. This has also been adjusted in the tool tip.

- Igneous Cistern: Warding Stones will once again ward off intended monsters. Destroying the Warding Stones will stun the intended monsters as well.

General

Fixed a crash related to resurrecting in a Battleground.
Strid River Valley is once again available to play in Battleground matches.
Bodies of water will properly appear in the Strid River Valley Battleground.
Deathmatch Scores are now 15 points per kill in various battlegrounds, adjusting any previously incorrect values.
Fixed an issue preventing you from leaving a Battleground early using the gamepad UI.
Fixed an issue causing you to wait in the queue longer than expected when there is a Battleground with open spots available.
You will no longer be kicked for inactivity in a battleground while spectating.
Corrected a text issue in Battleground weekend descriptions that incorrectly refers to second place teams getting the daily bonus.
The correct localization for the map and zone name of Strid River Valley is now correct in supported languages.
Battlegrounds in the 8v8 queues will no longer include the Huntsman’s Fortress and Mota-ka maps.
You will now be able to earn more Capture the Relic Medals for repeat captures and killing flag carriers.
You are now able to leave battleground matches early while using the gamepad UI.

Itemization, Battlegrounds

Fixed an issue with the Battlemaster's Worm Fangs where the runebox was not granted upon use. You will now be able to purchase and use these items again, and it will now correctly grant the associated runebox.
Battlemaster Glue Runebox Fragments no longer have placeholder flavor text.

Itemization, Rewards for the Worthy

Fixed an issue that prevented Rewards for the Worthy Containers from granting Focus scripts.

VFX (Visual Effects)

Visual effects on the Mirrormoor Crown Crates now play correctly.
Visual effects now playing correctly when previewing the Glass Atronach polymorph.

General

Writs asking you to craft furniture now show the appropriate pips in the station’s UI.

Crypt of Hearts I

Death’s Leviathan
- Joining the Encounter in Progress no longer has a chance to prevent you from progressing past this encounter.

General

Fixed an issue where some named items were appearing in the Item Reconstruction menu rather than the base item for certain Overland Item Sets.

Imperial City

The achievement Ranked Competitor now only gives progress upon completing a ranked Battlegrounds match instead of needing to win a ranked or unranked match.
- NOTE: Achievement progress will be reset for this achievement. However, it should now be easier to complete.

General

Fixed an issue that caused the furnishing “Decorative Wall Drape, Mauve” to change colors. It’s mauve once again!

Homes

Your pin now appears on the map when inside the Kthendral Deep Mines home.

General

Terms of Service has been updated for all platforms and supported languages.
You no longer crash when closing the game.

Grahtwood

The Grip of Madness: Fixed a door that could potentially trap you inside of a wall.

Tutorial/Soul Shriven in Coldharbour

Corrected the text in the "Locked!" tutorial pop-up when using a gamepad.
The Wailing Prison combat tutorial guards now target you rather than your pet
In The Wailing Prison, the Heavy Attack tutorial guards now die on the third attack if the heavy attack is not fully charged.

Updated ESO Plus text related to reflect the currency changes made during Update 44 launch.
Updating some previously missing subtitle localization for Spanish and Simplified Chinese.
