Antiquities for Housing

I just want to post a quick note about Antiquities in the new Greymoor chapter.

I wasn’t sure if Housing or Crafting was the right section at first. While the purple and gold treasures have provided a good source of gold since I can’t seem to find many furnishing plans in the new zone, I am going to enjoy the furnishings much more anyway.

While it was a very long grind to be able to do all of them, I have enjoyed getting a lot of cool furnishings for my house via this method already.

I am impressed by the number of different furnishings that can be obtained and I’m going to try to get at least one of every one of them!

Kudos to ZOS for taking the time to design these Antiquities and include them in housing!

The furnishings are amazing. Yet if we look at each race, the furnishing antiquities are too few. Here's the Argonian list:

    - Nest of Shadows, eso.mmo-fashion.com
    o14Mthx.jpg

    - Nisswo's Soul Tender, eso.mmo-fashion.com
    oscR5Oj.jpg

The first one is amazing, the second doesn't look like anything special to me. And we have nothing more for Argonians.

The one Wood Elf one I have isn’t much to talk about either, a Greensong Gathering Circle? It looks like it needs a brazier in it or something else to dress it up.

In general though, I welcome the fact that this new chapter has brought housing into focus as a fundamental part of the gaming experience, I hope ZOS will do more things like this in the future.

I like the gathering circle more than I thought I would. I used it as an offering bowl in a little shrine I made.

My favorite antiquity is the bone chimes. They're not as flashy as some of the other things on offer, but they're very charming and I love the sound they make.

Most Antiquity furnishings are nice, yes.

Although some Antiquities also look a little strange in ESO. Their style and colouration makes them a little too stand-out-ish from the other furniture ingame that are usually lore-relevant and toned down. Imo. :no_mouth: Makes me feel like I'm playing Guild Wars 2 or Kingdom Hearts

There are a lot of antiquities I still don’t have, but when I originally saw the pictures from you guys on the PTS, my first thought was that a lot of them in fact looked more futuristic than what we see in the game.

I have noticed that a lot of the codex entries say something about not being able to create them in current game era. That might be true but I either don’t have the lore background to understand why or that isn’t explained sufficiently to make sense.
