    Adding to this thread as well since i see an official response here, ps4 is experiencing the same issues as pc.

    It seems the consensus amongst ps4 players is these issues started after the last small patch beginning of February, and personally it seems to be getting worse and worse every day.

    Ive played eso a long time, i know lag is normal, but just like pc players say, this is different, skills misfiring, break free broken, etc

    Yes, that is what I have been trying to say too. It is hell for us too on PS4, but because there aren’t as many of us here as PC players, I think we are dismissed.

    I’m glad the constant crashing has stopped, but sometimes I just want to quit playing. Taking resources by myself is impossible when my jabs don’t work and my bash sends me sideways instead of at my target, and I can’t bar swap to buff or cleanse because the buttons are greyed out.

    Same issues here. Combat feels very slow especially break free.And when I hit my execute after bar swap it is just not going off until I hit it another 2-3 times (and in that time my enemy is again at full health and I can just cancel).

    But the worst in this patch are the crashes. I dont mean the ESO crashes to desktop. My whole system just restarts itself. Had that problem years ago (only with ESO) and found the culprit in windows defender. Changed a few things there and it was fine for more than 2 years. Now since the new patch I had those restarts 4 times already (and didnt even play much). Checked the defender and firewall settings ofc but all seems in order. And before someone says its my hardware: I checked everything, did tests in CPU, GPU and RAM. Everything runs fine when on full load while testing or with other games. Its just ESO...

    That being said I play since beta in 2014 and this is the FIRST time I have installed another game and am taking a break from ESO.

    Fix your game ZOS....

    I don't think it is that... This is in response to the latest "performance" update to PC.
    After the full redownload and reinstall.

    We know you guys have a terrible time on console...
    This is different from the problems we had before this patch. Combat is now completely broken and not just PVP.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno just to make sure you are aware. It's not just input delays. Health/resources and position is often way out of sync as well.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno delay console release PLEASE if this doesn't get hotfixed by Tues. We certainly don't need more stuff to add on the list of borked issues with the console version.

    I think we all understand that you are looking at these things actively but what a lot of us don't understand is how these things get to the live servers patch after patch after patch. I understand there is testing in house but that seems to be on a server dedicated to development that can not mimic the live server atmosphere(or even the PTS atmosphere for that matter).

    These issues have gotten to a point where they aren't only affecting the small player base that is the PVP only(or mainly) crowd but into the bigger player pool that is PVE. How do things like this, even after a fresh download of the entire client keep popping up, some transparency would be greatly appreciate, I.E. the why, what, how type of answers and how the devs are working to rectify it.

    Thank you for the heads up Gina, we appreciate the update! Echoing a comment above: are the desync issues also being looked at? They're causing a lot of problems, especially in BRP.

    The combat related delays are likely a product of the changes you made to block. Everyone on the PTS TOLD YOU this was going to happen, and that base combat mechanics shouldn't be tampered with until you had a polished, well tested rework to publish.

    You guys need to revert all the block related changes. The combat feels horrendous, worse than it has in years, and this is supposed to be your "performance patch". Just accept that you guys made a mistake with these changes and revert them before every player interested in combat leaves the game.

    Dlcs shouldn't break the game, and it is amazing that over the years these sorts of issues are practically expected to come with every dlc.

    Yes, that's all part of the investigation. There are a lot of nebulous desyncs/lags/delays happening and being reported, both in and out of combat.

    Come and join us in Cyrodiil @ZOS_GinaBruno and you can see it first hand. That invitation is open to any and all ZOS employees. Just have a fast horse and stay on crown.

    What is the patch Monday? Can we expect any relief? I can't speak for anyone else, but my patience is waning.

    The number of times, as a pve tank, I am knocked back or (almost) one shot through block or my bar swap drops block for so long that it appears to desync with a mechanic that does the same, has greatly increased this patch.

    This is not an improvement of gameplay and is added on the frustration of trying to play with oceanic ping where this sort of stuff happened at too high a rate previously.

    I cant understate this. This is awful for gameplay.

    In a thread discussing block on the pts, this exact topic was raised............people were concerned that the block changes were going to make gameplay worse and especially for those with average to poor ping. I saw this coming, yet again intended performance improvements have left us with worse performance.

    Can we really have faith that any future performance changes will deliver?

    If you want to have some fun, go into mistform and block cancel it. You will be in block until you dodge roll, and the block symbol will be there until you log out. Filled out a bug report.

    this one is also seeing certain skills will not fire (like volley and its morphs) , interaction with chests and corpses is impossible, sometimes block symbol stays up forever, despite not blocking.

    these changes are most enjoyable, yes?

    As a pve tank, I have noticed that if you bar swap into a block, there is a significantly increased delay wherein you appear to be blocking but will be knocked back or one-shotted as if you did not block.

    This makes it not viable to run lightning staves on back bar, which many experienced tanks were doing while quickly swapping to shield bar any time they needed to block.

    I have also noticed inconsistencies in block registering now, especially if attempting to hold block while casting. This will affect newer tanks and trial/vet dlc tanks the most, methinks. I hope this info is useful.

    I wholeheartedly second this.

    It is only since the last console patch that Cyrodiil has had any improvement, at least I don’t disconnect every time there is a siege now.

    I want to add to what I see in Cyrodiil. While the constants crashing every 10ish minutes was roughly solved with the last patch after the Overhaul nightmare, people are still crashing constantly, both with and without using addons. I don't get crashes so much that I now get random complete freezes that require me to sign-out or restart my PC because even bring Task Manager up still hides it when the game is in that super freeze mode. But those freezes are rare compared to the CONSTANT delay/not firing bug that going on. It is worse with higher pop bars, but even when I am alone taking a rss, I have: Skills not going off or taking over 10secs to go off while NPCs can attack me at regular non-delayed speed, ulitmates not going off or again a delay, Synergies not being about to pick up and if it has a delay it doesn't matter cuz the synergy is gone by the time it would allow a grab, mounting also is delayed and your character will be frozen for 2-5 secs with fingers in mouth whistling before the mount arrives, break-free also is delayed or just not working half the time. My one skill that makes the delay obvious is the Wrecking Blow skill where you see the character start the animation and they hold the two-hander behind them for like 6-10 secs before completing the swing. I do believe someone has a video of this. But its affecting literally EVERYTHING in Cyrodiil. For those with this bug, the best we can do is be canon fodder. For those without, they have a f-ton of free AP and kills. But at any given time, I would say almost 1/3 of the population is affect with this bug at any given time and up to 1/2. I am on NA/PC server, yes I have tested without addons enabled to even deleting from folder and my drivers are all updated.

    I am glad to see the Ultimate not casting but consuming points was not just me, this has happened a lot since the update and I thought I was just missing it or something because of the lag.

    Cyrodil may never be fixed. But the problem of block dropping or never even activating is a big issue that plagues the entire game. When will we get an update on what's going on there. Tanks cannot hold a boss when the one shot mechanic they are supposed to block thru they are unable to. I ran 2 dungeons last night and struggled hardcore. I have never had issues like this on my tank.

    All we can do is keep feeding back....

    I've noticed "double casting" is a problem too. Anything that has a longer animation, or cast time, is prone to "double casting"... these include (but are not limited to) - Shards, Crystal Frags, Liquid Lightning, Purifying Ritual, Dark Deal...

    I've also noticed that some conditional procs (like merciless resolve) aren't showing they've proc'd on your ability bar too.

    It seems a bit of a crap fest at the moment, but it was to be expected... my biggest issue is that it hasn't solved anything at all. Long load times are still there, blue screens for apparently nothing are still present (I blue screened for sitting in a chair in Summerset yesterday), frame rates and lag are just as bad as ever... Someone care to remind me what the update actually might have fixed??? lol Oh and I've still got guildies downloading it and haven't even been able to play yet - so imagine when the player base increases with all those extra people?? lol.

    In the ESO Live stream yesterday Gina said the upcoming patch should hopefully fix the delays we're seeing, so fingers crossed!

    The past few days I've been having a lot of disconnect issues, 5-6 disconnects in a couple of hours. My internet was fine, and I was running minimal addons. Usually the DC's were preceded by screen freezes, and then I was booted to the log in screen. Some of my guildmates have been experiencing the same thing apparently as well.

    I picked a bad week to start doing vet dungeon tanking.

    Block is wonky or downright broken, telegraphs are missing, delayed or in the wrong place, skills fire late or won't fire at all, bar swap is a gamble, roll dodge often fails to work. Either of those problems would give my fledgling tank a hard time. In combination, they make the game completely unplayable for me. I died a dozen times through block or while trying to dodge, and my group must have thought I was a complete idiot. "Do you even block?", "Dodge roll, man" or "Don't just stand in that".

    Believe me, I tried. I really, really tried.

    On top of all that, taunts seem to be a hit or miss as well, and apparently taunted aggro can now be lost to any random attack from other players, so I came off as a fake tank, not even doing the most basic stuff properly. Buffs and debuffs did not seem to trigger either, but in the general mess of things I can't be certain. Let's just say my vet tanking ended up a complete disaster yesterday...

    I've seen the taunt bug too: boss was taunted, no one else had accidentally aggro'ed, and yet it would turn around and behave as if it was untaunted. It happened so far in Cloudrest and Asylum, definitely not just you.
