I have been pretty happy with the class rep system so far. Perhaps my vision is through the rose coloured glasses of the Templar feedback threads/discord. Even my mag warden has seen some changes for the better.

I agree that the people providing combat mechanics and inter-class/intra class changes need a wide experience of the high end difficult content to provide the kind of nuanced feedback required.

I warmly welocme the ui changes for quality of life that have been introduced. The zone achievement guide and new quest markers deserve a special mention.

1. However one Representative from a first time player who has no mats,, no gold and little playing experience to demonstrate just how overwhelming the game can be (even to those using guides and guilds for advice and help) is always a good idea, too. User groups/focus groups do need to draw from all users, not simply high end ones, just to keep the feedback balanced. edit: this person should be confined to providing feedback about exactly those areas. Clearly meetings focused on trials, vet dungeons combat mechanics and open world CP PVP are not in their purvue and they should not bog down discussions with that stuff. They need their own feedbck loops.

Some examples: Many build guides rely on potions for example that are simply out of reach for newer players because they haven't been mat farming for years and the mats are very costly. Purpling gear can be prohibitive gold wise first time through. Clearing overland dungeons feels like a major achievement the first time one does it. After the third alt, one does it like one drives to work...on semi automatic. The fact the UI has no mini map is still an issue. My PVP guild has to tell numerous CP 300 people about add ons like the mini map (it's hard to find crown without it. Particularly if you are directionally challenged. My heart goes out to console players for this reason)

2. I'd also like an Oceanic/SE-Asian player to test the new trial and dungeon mechanics to see if they are do-able with 360ms ping. Many of us ''downunder' were able to do vet content at 280ms ping but simply cannot finish the newer content at 360ms ping, which locks us subs/DLC buyers out of this content. Perhaps send a tester to our side of the world to see what we have to contend with before designing twitch instant reaction one shots? It won't help in PVP. We just 'eat a bag of cement and harden up' for that. But completing group content should not merely be a matter of location.

Most of your player base is NOT leet and does not play the meta yet most of your reps/ streamers are about 'endgame'content. We love Eso and many of us have been around longer that some of zos devs. I personally dislike the divide you are creating between the class reps/ streamers and us. You blatantly treat them like vip ...it's like a clique in highschool. I watched a recent stream of zenimax studios only to be told half way that we the viewers were not privy to view the zos content till a later date as it was ' top secret'...Really? then why did your buddy/streamer bother making the vid in the first place. Very clicky immature behaviour from you Gina Bruno...reps are not your highschool clique or fb friends ...your job is to provide us the community with support. Thank you for reading .

They're looking for class representatives, not lead content designers...

Class reps probably just give feedback when it comes to class related changes.

Agreed! @code65536 would be great. Extremely well rounded when it comes to the game. Does exceptional addons, active in the forums and w/ bug reports, and clears content at the hardest level on multiple roles.

Have you done any writing or guides? That would be pretty cool imo and great for the community.

Well, some writing yes One of my rp characters is named Spins-the Yarn, she’s a Khajiit storyteller and I could share some of those maybe.

I never thought about making guides before, that’s interesting to consider.

Anyone who’s serious about this game and giving feedback has long since joined the Class Rep Discords. The communication channels are very alive. These Discords are currently where the majority of feedback is given and I can personally confirm at least on the Templar discord that @Checkmath and @Joy_Division are both active and engaged in getting feedback from the rest of us, even actively asking us questions in regards to how we would like certain abilities adjusted (such as Power of the Light being that it’s been bugged for years).

We’ve actually built a fairly good non-toxic community on the Templar discord that I’m pretty proud of based off of the grapevine of things I’ve heard regarding the other Discords bar DKs...part of it is because the people with little experience in the game are not present and giving feedback, it is a group of experienced like minded individuals who know the mechanics of the game fairly well. Inexperienced players often pop in with general questions and looking for help with the game and myself as well as several others are always willing to help them out.

The DK Discord is filled with trolls and memes, unfortunately. Discord isn’t monitored like these forums- so if new players have questions or vets have suggestions- they’re quickly overwhelmed with trolls from other classes blasting memes. Last night is was nothing but rascist jokes and slurs. Not really what I want to see from a gaming community.

The Class Rep, @Quantum_V, tries to supress it a bit- but I’m sure he can only do so much. If you have questions or feedback- I’d suggest using the forums.

I really don’t know why so many people now insist on using Discord as a discussion platform (ESO isn’t the only game doing this). That tool was never meant to be used as such (it’s a communication tool firstmost) and using it to do any kind of documented discussion sucks. It might be easy to setup and it’s free, but it still isn’t a good tool for discussions.

Be patient folks, there are a lot of apps and the devs have to a lot of checks on the accounts etc.
