I'm not about to flame ESO, in all honesty I really enjoyed playing. I reached vet rank 4 and was doing both PvP and dungeons with guild members in Team Speak and Ventrillo. However there are many items that I am unhappy with and would like to address so that the game may be patched in the future, also feel free to add constructive criticism to the article. Please don't post non sense here as I'm trying to keep this article progressive.

My first item is how much it costs to respect. one of the major features Zenimax promoted was that we could play our character however we want, which is true if you have a lot of gold as a respect at vet rank 4 may cost you upwards of 10,000 gold, mine being 11k. I like swapping my skills around, I enjoy tanking healing and damage dealing and wish I could respec without having to spend many hours if not days getting the currency to do so.

My second complaint is all the bugs in the dungeons, particularly veteran dungeon Fungal Grotto. currently if you attempt a veteran run of Grotto you will find that the second boss Gamyne Bandu is full of bugs. Reason is the mechanics allow the boss to fade away when there is an add phase, what you'll notice is that sometimes the boss will remain hidden longer then intended or longer then usual. what this does is throws off the timing of the preceding add phases. so if the boss remains hidden for long you can expect to get hit with a flurry of add phases, one after another. shackles, immediately followed by beam and/or the 4 shades. This is a progression blocker and needs to be addressed. Further I feel that the veteran rank dungeons should be tweaked on the amount of damage trash mobs do, I feel it is a bit high for the suggested veteran rank player level.

My third complaint is having to do with the loot in veteran dungeons. A guild member told me that this was to be addressed in the fashion of group looting for the next patch. This complaint may not be applicable for much longer but I'll address it anyway. currently in vet dungeons as many have noticed, if you loot chests you'll be awarded non veteran rank loot. mostly items between 10-20 item rank.

My fourth complaint is the way we progress through the veteran ranks. I know that many people enjoy questing past level 50, and I understand that the Elder Scrolls saga was always known for its epic story and many people including myself appreciate such detail in solo or group questing. However when you have a massively multi-player game that you're charging a subscription for after initially buying the game, you would expect more to do past the veteran rank then questing. I am the kind of player that finishes all the quests and events in an area before moving on, I'm not discrediting the games lore at all. I understand that Cyrodiil PvP and dungeons are currently the end game till further patches and Craglorn, however I feel that to progress through the veteran ranks were nearly cornered into questing if we don't like to participate in PvP or can't find groups quick enough to run dungeons.

There are still many bug that need to be addressed and this game is still very young. I hope that this others will expand on what was said here and add to the feed back for those who patch and fix the game. Again this is meant to be progressive. I'll add more to this as it comes to me.

Another issue I'm having, and hearing that others are as well is the lag time in swapping weapons. I've noticed that it's not always a clean transition or that sometimes I won't swap weapons at all

I play from EU and lag, and lag, the problem is that I have to stop doing anything else to switch weapon, use potion or certain skills. like healing. If I really want a skill to kick in I stop and hit the skill button untill it fires.

Your Title sounds like a good-by thread to me. You might want to change it before ZOS locks this thread.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

Well complaints two and three are mute points as they are errors and both being fixed. You said so yourself.

Complaint four I totally agree with, VR questing is lame and really bad immersion not to mention lazy end game content, however more XP in PVP is on it's way and this new expansion thing will cover end game content for PVE.

About complaint one. Are you joking? Why in the world would you need re-spec into VR levels. This is a time to start buying skills you don't need, start working towards having them all. You should have more than enough skill points by now? Have you collected the Skyshards? I suggest you get the Skyshard add-on if not.

I'm sorry to see you leave. Maybe in time it will meet your standards, although if everyone leaves until it does it never will.

    1. At high levels, you should have enough skill points that re-speciazling (or re-spec for short) should no longer be an issue unless you are changing something major like learning a different craft. I can easily fill any role on my Templar and can tank or dps on any of my non-Templar alts. I might get my Sorc to become a sorc healer eventually, but I haven't earned the points for that yet as he is just Vet 2.

    2. It is really expensive and I think giving a free respec once/month would be a nice feature addition, but I'm not worried about it.
My second complaint is all the bugs in the dungeons, particularly veteran dungeon Fungal Grotto.
My understanding is that these drop Vet 5 gear and continue (like the other dungeons) to be horrifically bad xp, so I haven't done them yet. That definitely seems like a bug that should be fixed though.
I hadn't heard about this, and it seems like an obvious bug that Zenimax QA should have found. My guess is that they did and it is simply low on a list of existing bugs to fix as most of the playerbase isn't yet Vet-5.
My fourth complaint is the way we progress through the veteran ranks. . . . I feel that to progress through the veteran ranks were nearly cornered into questing if we don't like to participate in PvP or can't find groups quick enough to run dungeons.

Yep. Dungeon Xp is a joke both before and after hitting VR1 and veteran points for mob kills are ridiculously low, so that leaves solo-questing and open-world RvR as the only ways to progress right now. Even with the addition of Craglorn (which is made for VR 10 characters and will extend the game to VR12), 2/3 of the game will be veteran-level solo-questing. I'm okay with this because I enjoy it, but I would love it if they made group dungeons grant xp and/or added battlegrounds so that there were more ways to play the game that granted character progression.

Other than respec costing too much, your complaints are for bugs that haven't yet been fixed and features that haven't yet been added. This makes it seem like you should come back in a couple months or whenever e-mails are sent out about Craglorn launching. . . I'm surprised you aren't getting at least one character to VR10 in order to be "ready" for the new content, but that's your business. I think I'd be tired of the game if I only played one character to veteran rank myself.

    SPOILERS ALERT:

The biggest problem with Veteran questing is that you get your soul back at the end when you get level 50 and beat molag bal and everything, but when you go to the next zone they act like you don't have a soul....

    Very inconsistent in this way.

    @hesobad‌

I'm not going to flame you for posting all the reasons you are quitting the game but most of your reasons are in line to be fixed. Of course none of us know when they will be fixed is the main problem people seem to be having =x.

I expected this game to be heavily story driven and personally enjoy doing the other two alliance quests while going through the vet ranks. ZOS is going to add other options for leveling in Vet ranks for the people who hate it. I'd actually welcome this change too. I'd still do the quests but taking a break from questing and getting xp from doing something else is refreshing sometimes.

I'm vet rank 5 and I haven't ever had to respec. I added my pts so I can do damage(melee)caster dps destro staff(with a few pts in dawns wrath), healing tree all the way with a healing staff. I still have pts left over and filled up 3 crafting profs. I personally don't care if people think I have a lackluster build or not :p I do play how I want, as ESO said I could LOL. Anyhow, you "shouldn't" have to respec but I don't play your class so you can take what I said there with a grain of salt...

I've seen the issue in grotto 2nd boss =x gave up on that one for now. I think vet dungeons are going to be fun but I don't see a major reason to focus on those right now. We will be tackling those later.

As far as some of the lackluster items for vet ranks (even 1-50 levels) I hope they add some cool items and reasons for players to dungeon crawl.

I'm still going to hang out and enjoy the game. It's still new and if they follow through with the fixes, upcoming content, etc..it will give me a reason to stay for a lot longer.
This is just a test........ if this was an actual sig, you would have been mildly amused..........

Respect is free in the game, now to respec is expensive. It's very prohibitive. Maybe the powers that be want us to buy from their partners? Good luck OP, maybe see you in the future.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that your opinion is wrong or anything, but this part of your post struck me. What is it that you do in other MMOs at end game?

How else would you like to gain Veteran ranks?

I know it's trivial, but it's "respec" :) There aint no T in Respec if you are leaving the game!

Here is my take now on the game having the long weekend to Kill off Mr Bal

    Um - uh-oh ....

I was loving getting to the end of the story line and knew I would be then whisked away to another Alliance to "do it again". I had also decided I was going to jump into PvP and thrash it out for weeks on end (even watched some PvP videos to get me psyched)

Sooo .. I go into Cyrodil (currently locked in Goldthorn)

    "Hulloooo ... anyone here, anyone doing anything?" ... /crickets ... / tumbleweed

Alright then, lets head over to Glenumbra. I'll go kill that WW as I know the first 10 levels of quests in that area from. I'm a baddarse level 49 closing in on 50. Should be able to pop off some quests quick

How hard was my wife laughing at me when the WW spanked me down? I eventually had to use the guards to help me after two deaths

My joy of being a God Killer, Slayer of Godzilla ... just felt hollow all of a sudden. I had that pang of Tortage depression. The best part of the game is over?

Anyhow, I realize I need to re-asses my play style (and campaign), actually get involved with a Guild and shrug off the last 50 levels of soloing and actually accept the reality that I'm not a God Killer in Vet zones (the NPC did warn me though)

I do ask this of Zen, please re balance difficulty slightly (don't make it cake) in the Vet zones ... and PLEASE make it worth my while to not even want to go back to PvE and spend the rest of my days in Cyrodil ... advancing!
