Tanlorin Quest "Thorns and Blossoms" still bugged. Anything new to try?

I am doing Tanlorin's quest line..... and like many others have experienced......in Reeve's office it bugged out. I have read everything I could find and have tried them all to no avail. The only thing left to do is start it on another character and I will not do it all over again only to have it bug out. Any new help would be appreciated. Sure wish ZOS would fix this......thanks in advance!

    When you say you have tried everything, does that include abandoning the quest, logging off/on, retaking the quest?

    When in Reeve's room...I interacted with the page on the table and the secret door in the wall and the cat statue bugged out.

    When you say bugged out, what do you mean? It shouldn't do anything. It's a red herring. To advance the quest you read the page on the table then look for a loose panel behind Reeve's desk hidden in the wall. It contains Reeve's journal.

    I read the page on the table...then the loose page in the hidden panel and then it made me read the page on the table again and then would not advance any farther

    Ah I see. Interesting bug loop. Yeah try abandoning and logging out before re-taking.
