I currently have 18k tome points and have everything unlocked on all the pages with 47 days left. The Seasonal model is great but you gain vast amounts of points that subject us to months of nothing from a system that can be finished well before the season ends. You are also basically punished for opening caches because only 2k points carry over. I suggest doubling the rewards you can earn and proportionally increasing the cost so the system lasts longer with more engagement. Great change so far though.

IMO it's great to have a long break when you finished the tome early, even more so that you can finish it in 1/3 of the time. Right now I can actually play the game rather than doing silly busywork.

I wouldn't mind being able to indefinitely buy stuff like XP scrolls, tripots, or repair kits, but anything unique, including currencies (other than gold), will make me want to engage with the system again, which usually means I priorize my FOMO chores over things that are actually fun, and then log out and play something else.

This game for me was at it's absolute lowest when I returned during an event, with a gold pursuit attached, then had Hero's Return thrown at me, which at the time split into two more golden pursuits, while trying to get event tickets, and having daily and weekly endeavours thrown at me.

I logged in after a year of not playing, really wanting to get back into ESO, was met with "checklist simulator: the game: the move tie in," closed ESO, and didn't return for antoher year.

The current tome system is awesome as it can be finished at our own pace over three months then ignored.

It's designed to be a casual system and I love that. Its so much better than what we had before. Some have suggested repeatable pages at the end. Id be alright with that if it were things like Tel Var, Alliance Points, Gold is fine. Anything that prevents or reduces farming is a good thing for the game. There is entirely too much of it and it is boring and not fun.

I do think they will expand upon the tasks over time and perhaps the rewards but this is a well designed, good system. It is generous of them to offer an auto claim feature so we dont sacrifice our tasks and rewards if we aren't able to be on at the end of the season. The pace of it is perfect. The price point for the premium is very fair. Im excited to see how they will polish it further in the future.

I understand where that sentiment is coming from (I'm in much the same boat with my NA accounts and not quite there with my EU characters), but I don't think Tomes were specifically aimed at players who are logging in and playing on an almost daily basis. I think some of the rewards could have been chosen a bit better with those players in mind, but the core audience for Tomes seems to be the newer players and the more infrequent players. The rest of us are pretty much along for the ride. Enjoy the scenery and don't sweat the petty stuff (petting the sweaty stuff is different, but still not recommended).
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

Tomes just needs a repeatable buy page: Seals, AF, Gold, Tel Var, Tri-Pots.

Increase the purchase price a reasonable amount each time something is bought.

Keep the 2,000 end of season cap, and anything above that convert to 100 gold per tome point.

Hopefully there’s a plan to add more bonus pages.

I am hoping that now that players see there is no rush they stop racing through starter zones grabbing and killing everything in your path. If you are level 2500+ there is no reason to be speed farming on Bleakrock. Having everything dead before you get to the quest is not fun. Having all the resources gone when you need a chest piece is not fun.

I think the tome challenges are spoiling the game for those that actually play the game instead of farm and PvP.

Repeatable Seals purchases? You are speaking the language of the gods!

I've run to get all possible Seals, and since I'm fine with the gold, transmutes, etc I already have, I mainly focus on Seals, which are never enough. Those being repeatable would be awesome!

We need some repeatable buy options. We should be able to buy tri-pots repeatedly for sure, but also crown crates, IA currency, tel var etc. There should be some standard repeatable buy options so we can choose to accept a pittance in gold for the extra tome points or at least get something we can use.

I wouldn't mind repurchasable lootboxes but other than that no. I can finally stop grinding points and play at my own pace till July

I don't read any of the news and I stopped playing for a couple of months so I have no idea what tamriel tomes are. I just play and every so often it pops up saying I have points. I see there are challenges but I just take the points when it says some are ready. I claimed some sort of new currency the other day. No idea what it's for. I might look it up, might not.

It didn't look like a battle pass, but now someone mentioned it, they're right, it's like in Diablo.

I did the Hero's Return. I thought it was okay, except I avoided the group tasks.

i have 18k between the two servers. Def something to spend them on after i finish the tome would be nice. As mentioned above, some consumables etc.

I actually think the current pacing of Tamriel Tomes is one of its strengths.

I understand the issue of finishing early and then sitting on a pile of extra points, but I would not want the solution to be doubling the costs or stretching the system out just so it lasts the entire season. One of the best things about Tomes right now is that it does not feel like daily homework. You can finish it at your own pace, stop thinking about it, and go back to playing the game normally.

That said, extra points should probably have a better sink. A repeatable final page would be a good compromise, as long as it stays low-pressure. Things like tri-pots, repair kits, XP scrolls, gold, Tel Var, Alliance Points, or other basic utility rewards would be fine. I would be more cautious with unique cosmetics or highly desirable rewards, because then the system becomes another FOMO checklist.

So my preference would be: keep the main Tome casual and finishable, but add repeatable utility purchases for players who keep earning points. That gives active players something to spend on without turning Tamriel Tomes into another grind.
