Guide to avoid the annoying bots in hollow city:
Start restoring the hollow city and the bots phase out.

Was watching a constant procession of bots going through a gate in Hollow City. Would be so simple to for a GM to sit at that gate and ban 50 accounts in a few minutes.

Crazy how many are there now. Also every mob area in Coldharbour seems infested with trains of bots doing small circuits.

Just read that an quickfix was to remove the gold reward for the quest.

Rather than simply baning the farming bot accounts I would rater flag them, then automatically flag accounts who interact with them as middlemen who receive stuff from other accounts who is also bots and they give stuff to other accounts higher up, now take down the entire pyramid.

Unfortunately, removing the gold reward for the quest isn't a "fix". This is a perfect example of a kneejerk reaction that won't solve an issue. Implementing this fix will just move the bots to another location.

I know, and yes simply automatically suspending any account who took say 10 or more low level characters to coldharbor for exploiting would work better.

collect data while you implemented the ban mechanism would maximize impact.
Beauty here is that this is an pretty obvious exploit so no need to verify its an bot.
