Predictions Of The Future

With the push back of the console release date I am actually hopeful that Zenimax and Bethesda just might actually fix all(and there are a ton of them) of the problems with this game. From playing the beta and seeing the PC release date I knew this game was going to be s**t on release. Even in beta the grouping function was sooo clunky, all the skill and animation problems, not to mention the major game glitches; all of this was far to much to overcome in the time they had. Then I saw the console release date and I was like a week after the console version hits the shelves this game is sooo going free to play. However now I feel that Zenimax has realized that in the state of gaming today no one is going to stick around for a game this riddled with problems and they may actually be trying to fix all the stuff they half-as*ed to begin with. Of course I could be wrong and Sony/Microsoft just said we don't want your game and they are simply squeezing every penny they can out of us before they announce the death of ESO hard to say. Any who I want to know what the other forum members think about the games future IE fixed/successful, fail, free to play, what do you predict?

Some companies make more money going the F2P route. I think that's what will happen.

I think the majority of gamers who bought the game are WoW refugees trying to find a new home and this won't be it. It'll level off with a solid med sized playerbase of casuals.

They would have sold millions of copy's if you combine WoW's playerbase with ES fans.
But due to so many mmo failures you wont seel much boxes these days, specialy with the greed of Imperial Edition and a sub attached.

^not 100% accurate but it might not be that far from actual sales.

If Zenimax sales would actualy be over the roof it would be all over the net.
Its like standing in the gym shower who has the biggest di..
Make no mistake that the world of software giants and studio's are not much diffrent then we humble common folks are.

Add all the major revieuws who get more then 500k vieuws on a revieuw like Force / Joe etc etc and you see Zenimax just made an average mmo.

You can agree or disagree, but its no secret that if your selling good you want to take that momentum and spread it like wildfire your game sold millions.
In reality ESO is having a real struggle...and Wildstar is around the corner making any unhappy players looking for another home a fast choice.

    I subbed another month!
But man this is not a tripple A mmo in any way or shape.

ESO has done some things really well - the zones, voice acting, etc. but the meat and bones of the game is absolutely atrocious. If you compare the game to Wildstar beta, which is extremely polished with no bugs, crashes, no blocked quests, meaningful progression and a challenging end game, it makes me wonder if ESO wasn't planned as a cash-grab-soon-to-be-F2P from the beginning.

    I feel the same...

I havto agree fully on the part where they knew it was going f2p...and that a cash grab is simply all it is...get those first 1-3 month subers is a huge paycheck for them period...

It makes my head hurt to see this kind of crap going on and on....maybe one day we will get a solid game produced and managed correctly...and not given some fake Hollywood budget...

Something really needs to be done...some quality control policing is in order...the way games have been released over the last 5 years is a total fukkking joke and is a insult to gamers/consumers.

Well all I have to say to a few of you is please don;t rush to renew as those who enjoy the game won;t be sad to see you go.

The fact that people think you can play for free make me smile. try that out in the day to day life you have, why pay for food i mean its not as if someone put effort in producing it at all. Why should you care if they did shouldn't it be free?

How many times will you say this goes F2P?
