Well, good to learn that the Skill Styles from Maj show up from Filer Ool after I bought two of them. I'd rather farm 15k Fortunes than 20 keys : p

the tel var merchant is overpriced, and i will very unlikely buy anything from that one

the avg player probably has a hard enough time making 5000 tel var, let alone the 30-60k tel var needed for 1 item on this vendor

i dont have problems making tel var, but i sure wont spend that much for that stuff

Compounding this is the fact that Tel Var can be converted into material like Hakeijo or alchemy ingredients or sets that you can sell, meaning that spending Tel Var is always equivalent to spending lots of gold. : p Imperial Fragments would be better for some of these IC exclusives, IMO, especially since that currency doesn't have too much of a use at the moment.

IC fragments can give you access to material caches (ie. provisioning, alchemy, furnishing mats, jewelry, etc.), so a persfect way to make gold off of it too!

Am I the only one who finds archival fortunes to be of little value?

I'm broke most of the time - don't play Archive much, but since I want to collect all book furnishings, I usually need(ed) 2000 each week, at least. Now that I have many of the books already and spend less or even nothing in some weeks, we'll see how the currency accumulates.

Same, basically. Except I buy like 5 copies of the books each week if the book has a unique appearance. Even when the unique books have repeated I buy a couple more because I'm afraid I'll never know how many I'll need one day :p

I also have bought annoying antiquity leads and useful treasure maps from the vendor so fortunes, I feel like, will never feel of little value to me. But I have a decent stack now of about 30k as of very recently since I use this place to level companions.

I would have loved to buy more than one copy of the books each, but I find running through the Archive horribly boring, to it was a hassle to even get 2000 of the currency per week...

And yes, I do companion levelling there, too (did it for Azandar, Sharp and Ember - my other companions were already fully levelled before Archive was released - and now doing it with Zerith-var), so it feels a little more useful, but it's still boring.

I didn't even bother to take a closer look at the buyable antiquity leads yet, because I don't have enough currency anyway. Well, okay, I do keep my eyes open for exactly one lead I am searching for (the last one for the Dwemer wolf mount that just never dropped for me although I ran DSC2 like stupid, until I finally gave up), but that one hasn't showed up yet. Hope it will be buyable soon (there were so many Dwemer wolf leads already, but not this one), as I currently have about 5000 currency left anyway.

Am I the only one who finds archival fortunes to be of little value?

i spend most of my fortunes on monster style pages, leads i still need codex entries for, and if i just want to burn them i buy the provisioning satchels (which have a chance to drop perfect roe, aetherial dust, diminished aetherial dust, rubyblossom extract, and mourning dew)

i also occasionally buy scripts with them if my alts still need ones when im checking the vendor

Me, I’m book collecting, and I’ll buy the antiquity leads if I need them and they are the harder-to-get ones. I was also going to start collecting the monster styles but realized that would take more fortunes than I care to farm so I stopped that pretty fast. I will get one if l think I might actually use it though.
