Given the amount of additions and alterations to the game, I agree that a thread detailing what routine players followed six years ago is totally irrelevant today.

There's a strong argument in my view for threads beyond a certain age being auto-locked. We can argue over whether that age should be 1 year, 2 years, or longer, and whether the period should be counted from the original post or the last comment, but I doubt many would contest the view that a thread launched in 2018 and last commented on in 2019 should be eligible for further comments in 2024!

I would rather see the past dates and see the change all in one thread. There are alot of dud threads that are created with this kind of logic. Players googling for answers can see one thread talking about the whole topic
Making a game fun should be a priority. Making a game balanced should not come at the expense of fun.

It's an evergreen topic, though, meaning players still have a daily ESO routine they can talk about. It's not like topics where the information or whatever is being asked is truly out of date.

All the previous answers are out of date, so it would be better to start a new thread if people want to give a current response on it.

    i disagree entirely

    1. log in
    2. kill stuff
    3. log out

    100% relevant!

    personally, mine is
    1. log in
    2. daily rewards and take free stugg
    3. use my enlightened on alts that need skills levelling
    4. do a trial/stuff with guild that im signed up for
    5. log off

    What's a schedule?

    My routine:

When I have a work day:

Log to my main ---> Endeavors ---> Daily Writs.
Log out ---> Log to my alts (19 characters), do Daily Writs and log out.
Log it to my main and I'll do Mirrormoor daily.
Log off and go to work.
During the process I eat breakfast + drink coffee..

    Free day:

Log to my main ---> Endeavors ---> Daily Writs ---> I'll check through the addon if the alts have finished researching the equipment whether they need to prepare more gear for research or not.
Log out ---> Log to my alts (19 characters), do Daily Writs and log out. (everything from the writs I put into the bank through the assistant...)
Log it to my main and take everything out of the bank from alts, surveys/master writs, etc. Sell the gear (except Intricate jewelery, deconstruct those), check Master Writs (price per voucher/if I'm missing motif style, etc), then put the "good" Master Writs on one of the alts (each alt has max 215 inventory space and mostly serves as storage for Master Writs until the xp event).
Then with main go do surveys, during this I'm in queue for BG (I only want one win, daily coffer for the win, I need a Lead from the coffer).
Then IA (2 arcs, daily quests + Leads farm)
ToT daily, 3x win vs NPC (again, due to Lead drop )
Then daily quests in the following zones: West Weald (Mirrormoor only, due to motifs), Mage guild daily(possible Lead drop), Telvanni Peninsula (WB and Delve, possible Lead drop), Deadlands + Galen + Blackwood (again, because Leads from coffers)
After the daily quests, I will buy 2 selected motifs (complete 14/14) for one of my alts.
After that I do Leads Farming, doing zone by zone and trying to do 3/3 codex everywhere.
While playing, I watch the TTC Web from time to time for specific Treasure Maps (because of Leads).

This is kind of what my routine looks like in ESO.
Practically everything I do revolves around Writs and Leads.
I'm kind of like "Antiquities Andy" so everything I do is mostly where the Leads are. Oh, and to have some steady income that's what alts and Writs are for (plus xp from them during xp events are cool too).
