Beacon of Oblivion for Werewolves?

Has anyone done some testing with this set on a werewolf? Sorc is the best class for werewolves and as a werewolf you never have pets anyway, so you're not inherently losing damage from not running pets. So the question becomes would Beacon be better than Pillar for example? Pillar gives you 6% more crit chance so the 15% extra damage gets lowered to around 10% if you take that into account. Would that be enough to overpower Pillar though? If so then Beacon would become the meta set for werewolves I think. More damage than a traditional proc set and extra survivability on top.

    Dunno about the set but came to say: Technically you can have two wolf pets in the white werewolf form.

    The 2 and 4 piece kill the set for a PvE DPS, on top of the natural 30% that non-pet Sorc has fallen behind ones that use pets. Beacon of Oblivion would need to provide 30% damage to make it competitive, not to mention… Daedric Summoning class set punishing Daedric Summoners.

    If you want a stronger PvE Werewolf, just go Dragonknight with the new Pyreborne set, from what I’m hearing it’s stronger than Relequen, so you can just stack the two.

    There is truly no scenario in which Beacon of Oblivion is optimal, or even makes sense.

    Beacon of Oblivion does work in Werewolf form, same as the Expert Summoner passive. You have no pets with Werewolf Berserker, but you gain pets with Pack Leader.

    Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

    I just tested the same setup on a Sorcerer Werewolf versus on a Templar Werewolf. The Sorcerer got ~104k DPS, while the Templar got ~107k DPS. Earlier when testing, I got a Dragonknight with Pyrebrand instead of Pillar of Nirn to hit ~103k DPS.

    Here's the Sorcerer (103.9k DPS):

    Sorcerer lost a lot of Werewolf DPS when the damage type of the light and heavy attacks was changed from Physical Damage to Bleed Damage. They did get a damage boost with Expert Summoner giving Werewolf Berserkers +10% Maximum Stamina, but that's not nearly as powerful as Templar's Burning Light, which accounts for about 5k DPS. Sorcerer's Werewolf abilities hit harder on average than Templar's Werewolf abilities, though, possibly due to the Amplitude passive. In particular, Werewolf's main spammable, Piercing Howl, still deals Physical Damage and is still boosted by the Energized passive.

    Here's what it looks like to replace Pillar of Nirn with Beacon of Oblivion with this build (104.4k DPS):

    Sorcerer Werewolf gains about 500 DPS using their Class Set instead of Pillar of Nirn. It's actually better than running Pillar of Nirn + Relequen's, but it's still a few thousand DPS less than Templar Werewolf. If it's any consolation, know that none of Templar's Class Sets work in Werewolf form due to the strict ability requirements.

    Very interesting. So it looks like Beacon is indeed a meta set for Sorc werewolves. Not only does it do more damage than Pillar in single target fights, but you also have to remember that Beacon doesn't care what kind of fight it is. It doesn't matter if it's a single target, AOE, static, or dynamic fight, or even if you're fighting trash or a boss. Beacon is equally effective in all situations. Not only that but it also provides some extra survivability with its 2 and 4 piece bonuses.

    The unfortunate part still remains that playing a Sorc werewolf is pointless as Templar is now just straight up better. So by extension Beacon is also useless. Shame.
