I think something is wrong with the PC version of ESO

GraysonPower
I have deleted and disabled addons, updated all graphic drives, up to date windows, run as administrator, compatibility mode, added as exceptions to AVG, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, deleted files, repaired the driver MANY times, checked for obsolete files and even went as far as to uninstall and reinstall Steam. I have done everything I can think of and the game just crashes with no error code after 8 minutes of logging in. Keep in mind this is after I choose a character. Not right after opening the game. I will play the game for 8 minutes and it will crash. I don't know what to do. All I can think of is that the error is the game itself. Whatever this is started after the latest DLC so I think that that's the problem. Whatever is causing the crash has to be from the game itself because nothing I did would fix it. Hopefully this gets out to the ZOS and they will do something to fix it.

If it is a F-CPU then it does not have an integrated GPU. So yes, you need a dedicated GPU.

Ya it's a F-CPU. Why does ESO need a dedicated GPU?

Not only ESO needs a dedicated GPU. Every game needs it if you do not have an IGPU.

I changed the GPU and this didn't fix my problem. As I said, I think the update has caused a problem for pc users

If the update would be the problem then everyone would have it.

    Try this:
Download Hwinfo, start it with ""Sensors only and create a log. Then play the game. When it crashes, stop logging and upload the log somewhere.

How will this help? Sorry I have never used HWinfo before so I don't know how it will help me

logs log what happens when. so we can see whats going on in the system when it crashes. Good chance that info is useful to determine what the hardware or software failure is on your system.

also be sure to give complete system specs esp if this is a system you built or one someone built for you. Things to include

processor brand and name , motherboard brand and name, graphics card brand and name, power supply brand and name, if you're using a water cooler or not and if so then brand and name. All of this matters.

If you want help then do what was suggested. if you don't want to do what was suggested then dont ask for help.

Also, could be your PSU not powerful enough to run the game. Look at the Power Supply Unit and see how many Watts it is rated for.

But yeah, you definitely need a Gaming type GPU to run ESO. I don't know if any Integrated GPU can run it and if it did the graphics would be horrible and the FPS like a slide show.

Game keeps crashing after a windows update stating there is an issue with DXGI and devices. Sometimes the window comes up if the game can catch the error...sometimes it cant and it just fully crashes. But yes, there are a ton of errors recently.

The game for me just crashes and I get no error, so I have no idea what the problem is. So far the longest it's gone without crashing is 13 minutes.

I've had that error a few times over the years. The last time I had that error it was something like "DXGI device not found" which turned out to be a defective power cable to my video card. Took a bit of troubleshooting to figure it out and it didn't affect every video game.

After replacing the power cables to my video card my system has been error free.

Logging help to see whether your PC overheats or not or your PSU is too weak etc. Those are common sources for crashes.
