Basalt-Blooded Warrior Molten Stance not working as intended

The Dragonknight class set Basalt-Blooded Warrior does not work as intended while in Molten (primary bar) stance.

Summary: If you recast an earthen heart ability BEFORE the Molten Stance buff ends, Major Heroism will cease to work. Major Heroism's buff will continue to show as active with the duration refreshed back to 10 seconds, as will Molten Stance.

This bug also breaks any other sources of Major Heroism (example given: Daedric Trickery) and will prevent it from working as well once the remaining timer of the Major Heroism buff timer is 10s or less. Associated with this, Molten stance will NOT activate on an earthen heart ability while another source of Major Heroism is active. (See Video)

Image 1: Spamming Ash Cloud for damage, see total ult gen/second of .50 (actual 0.48) per second.
  • Result: Ult gen of .5/s, which is one trigger every 10 seconds.
  • Expected result: Ult gen of 2.00/second

Image 2: Casting Ash Cloud every 10seconds. Total Ult gen 2.00 (actual 1.97) per second.
  • Result: Correct Ult Gen of 2 per second.
  • Expected result: 2.00/s. This is correct.

Video 3: Using Daedric Trickery (for another source of Major Heroism) and Basalt. Once Daedric Trickery procs a Major Heroism, start spamming Ash Cloud for Basalt.
  • Result: Molten stance does not activate while Major Heroism from DT is active, UNTIL the remaining time is under 10s. Then it breaks. Ultimate generation only happens, while spamming an Earthen Heart ability on the first tick, not subsequent ones.
  • Expected Result: Ult Gen of 2/second. Molten stance buff should activate while under effect of other Buff not be prevented entirely. Daedric Trickery's buff should be the overriding Major Heroism buff for its duration, Molten's buff should only work after Daedric's is finished for its remaining time.

Test method: Use Burning Embers to get a Major Heroism proc from Daedric Trickery, then spam ash cloud.
Right side buffs show active effects, left side buffs show active major buffs.

Please fix. I theorycrafted an awesome IA build late last night and was bummed to see it won't work properly. =(

    that sucks, I farmed this having a great idea in mind and noticed this too. but I bet if basalt stacked with trickery it would be fixed expeditiously

    @OreoTheDj its not about stacking, Major/Minor buffs don't stack. This is if you get any other source of Major Heroism (from another set, or Basalt itself), Major Heroism will stop completely and you gain 0 ult until a new source of Major Heroism is applied AFTER the Basalt effect has ended.

    I used Daedric as another source of Major Heroism to showcase the bug is with the Basalt effect overriding Major Heroism regardless of source.

    If the sets worked properly, and both sets went off at the same time, you'd retain Major Heroism until both effects fall off.

    Example using 2 other skills, this bug is like if Molten Armaments' Major Brutality buff would cease to work completely if you recasted before the duration ended or casted Momentum while it was active, thus losing the 20% weap damage the entire time. This of course doesn't happen, you keep the 20% Weap damage until both effect end.

    oh no I get it, I understand completely how major and minor buffs work i shouldve implied more sarcasm but I meant it as if the bug was " trickery and basalt stacked like in a weird broken way so that you got major heroism x2" they would fix it asap I know its not possible but lets spread a rumor in game and get enough people thinking its true and maybe boom theyll look at the set haha
