Comprehensive list of bugged NB skills

Guys remember to tag a ZOS official and you are more likely to have them look at it. I have already tagged her so it shows as a message for them in their inbox so she can say they are looking into it. Just a quick tip.

Not a bad idea.. They have stated they are going to have class skill changes on their upcoming huge patch supposedly.. Will see what comes of that.. I stopped playing my Main NB..

Mainly due to the class bugs on this class. I am not going to keep wasting skill points and gold just to try and find a build that actually works, when the builds I like playing don't. I have already wasted too much time and money on deaths due to my skills not firing properly or at all in mid combat.. The skills that do fire properly and work, the combat is fun and enjoyable.

There are so many bugs with NB that it truly is hard to even see if certain builds would be fun to tweak and play, you just can't tell right now.. Too hard to determine certain combinations of skills on your bar to even try out, because you either one find it is not working or not having the effect it should so the whole point of combining and strategy goes out the window.. So for me I will wait till I can try out different things when they are working to finalize my build, then run through the game like it is meant to be..

even with all of these bugs, I feel like I am overpowered when it comes to killing single target NPC's. PvP lately though ive been getting wrecked more then usual.

Cripple works for me. It siphons run speed and gives it to me. So you might need to relook at that one.

How much speed increase do you get in % ?
I think, it can't be more than 10%, because it will be easier to recognize (if it works).

I've run into so many bugs with this class, that literally half the skills I chose to train, are bugged in some way or another. If anyone knows of any other bugs, please post them, and I will add them to the list. Also note, that some skills might simply be working as intended, but the tooltip for them is wrong.

1)Mark Target - The armor penetration does not work. I have tested it in PvP as well as PvE.

2)Haste - The speed increase does not work with bow.

3)Pressure Points - This passive does not seem to be doing anything.

4)Shadow Cloak - You are very often instantly removed from invisibility. This happens both in PvP and PvE.

5)Veiled Strike: Concealed Weapon - The 25% stealth movement speed passive is not working.

6)Cripple - The siphoning of movement speed is not working. The target does not loose run speed, and you do not gain any run speed.

7)Siphoning Strikes - This skill is healing less than 4% per attack.

8)This is not exactly NB specific, but - Dead players are considered to still be in combat with you, until they respawn, or until the combat timer wears off. This makes it so you can't stealth, mount, etc., until you are "out of combat" with them.
    1) worked for me just fine.
    2) it seems for me that "haste" or "attack speed bonus" are not working at all. I cant see any difference in speed of my light attacks or heavy attacks or skill animations, nothing just changes.
    4) Maybe you just don't know how to use it. It will be removed if you sprint, get hit, attack.
    5)check my thread here http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/65904/veiled-strike-concealed-weapon-what-it-does?new=1
It actually works but not in that way tooltip says it should. It will increase your move speed while in invisibility what shadow cloak do.
    6) works fine for me

So here is what we can expect to be fixed in the upcoming 1.1 patch...

    Nightblade
Catalyst: Fixed an issue with the Catalyst passive ability. It will now properly increase the effect of speed potions.

Dark Shades (Summon Shade morph): This ability now deals more damage as the ability ranks up.

Focused Attacks: Fixed an issue where ranks II – IV of Focused Attacks were not restoring stamina.

Sap Essence (Drain Power morph): Fixed an issue where this ability where wasn’t granting the initial Weapon Damage bonus you should receive when no target is hit.

    This was taken from
    http://dulfy.net/2014/04/25/eso-pts-patch-notes-v-1-1-craglorn/

Mind that these are subject to change.

Does anyone else have any issues with Shade not summoning in PvP?

I just put points into this skill to test it out, and I have found to my disappointment that casting Shade when targeting another player will often lead to my character showing the summoning animation, paying the Magicka cost, but having no Shade spawn.

I only seem to have this issue when targeting enemy players. Targeting NPCs does not seem to present any issues.

    Tested a bit further.

I can get Shade to summon in 1v1 scenarios and in very small group settings.
In large group settings and mass PvP the shade consistently does not spawn when casting the skill.
I'm not yet certain of what the threshold of players on screen is before it stops properly spawning.

Actually Cripple works perfectly fine for me and always has. The morph to root also works. I gain some speed (not much) and the enemy loses speed. I have tested this countless times. The speed buff also stacks when used multiple times (before duration runs out) on tough targets.
Complete nonsense, cripple does not work in any way shape or form, either you have not played the class, or I have to conclude you are so bad, you cannot tell the difference and your imagination is taking over.

It is also incredibly easy to test, move into melee range of a melee using target and use cripple. Using cripple you should be able to open the distance from your target. You will find you cannot; the target is not slowed nor do you gain any speed, it is a snare that doesn't work,

Then I feel sorry for you. Your character is broken.

I just tested it AGAIN right now against Ogres as they live long enough to test (regular mobs die to 2 applications of the dot)! You are either bugged or are attacking snare immune mobs like flying creatures. When I cast Crippling Grasp it does the initial damage, applies the root (you will see a white swirly graphic around the feet of the mob) and then applies snare for duration (again, very noticeable but the snare is a minor one). My character gain a minor speed buff this is VERY noticeable! The easiest way to notice is side strafing as that is slower than running. My character side strafes much faster as the gain is easy to notice against the slower strafe speed.

One thing that must be considered is that many mobs have a snare also so if you enter melee you often are slowed which will effectively counter your buff. I cast the power at range at all times but even testing in melee the effects are easy to see.

You can choose not to believe me but I can easily, without question see the slow applied to the mob and the speed buff applied to me. I highly suggest you send in a bug report informing ZOS that you character is bugged.

To further describe the test: I walked up to an Ogre. It aggros and attacks. I block to ensure I am not snared. I walk BACKWARDS allowing the Ogre to attack me in melee and I cannot gain distance or even if outside is melee range he gain distance on me and enters melee once again. I cast Crippling Grasp and the Ogre is rooted briefly. I stand just outside of his special cone range which usually goes off at this point. Then the Ogre starts to move toward me I begin walking backwards again just outside of melee range. I do not gain distance BUT he can no longer regain melee range while the speed boost to me and snare against him is in effect! I can repeat this test endlessly even against the tigers in the area.

You MUST ensure the mobs is not snare immune. If I turn and run my gain to speed is painfully easy to notice. My foot step sounds speed up and I can traverse marked distances in less time. This can easily be tested. Snare a mob standing at a marked location (something noticeable), turn toward a marker in the distance and set auto-run on and watch how far you run before the buff runs out. Benchmark this against a normal speed run. BINGO! My character runs farther with the speed buff on over the same timed duration. This however only works while threat range of a mob. You in fact run outside of this range rather fast as the mob IS snared and my character's run buff cancels if too far from mob. If tested close to melee range I can get the full speed buff duration. In fact this makes it even easier to notice as the speed buff ends prematurely if too much distance is gained.

Again, report that your character is broken.

Edit: To further update I just tested against several packs of tiger pairs. I simply kited at range so they never gained melee. I cast Crippling Grasp on the lead tiger which rooted and then snared allowing the other tiger to pass it. The lead tiger GAINED distance against the snared tiger. I repeated this against the lead tiger until they finally died. At certain points I could align the tigers perfectly against each other while one was snared (after root) and the unaffected tiger gained ground against the snared tiger. One would have to be blind not to notice it.

All my tests were against mobs 2 levels higher than me if that makes any difference.

I just started "using" Snipe and it doesn't even light up in the tool bar, so it's a complete waste. It's either completely broken or I'm doing something horribly wrong. I use a bow BTW.

It has a deadzone. You need to be quite far away from your target to use it.

TY, I will try to back farther off and use it again. I'm looking for a close-range bow skill to keep me alive in groups, but I haven't found one yet.
  • Manofmisery
Might have missed it but impale the ranged morph doesn't crit. Not with melee crit or magica crit.
