Crash on clicking Play

The game won't start, at all. I get the Bethesda logo, but it crashes immediately after that. Sometimes it doesn't even finish that short movie.

Steps taken:
- Deleted ESO folder in my documents
- Deleted ESO folder from appdata/local
- Updated graphics drivers
- Made sure DPI was at 100% (why would this crash the game!??)
- set both the launcher and game exe to run as admin
- reinstalled the game
- repaired the game from the launcher

Running W10 22H2. No addons whatsoever. Nothing else running either. I'm using the ESO launcher directly, not the steam version.

Nothing running AV wise except windows defender, which did not detect ESO as problematic. I excluded the ESO folder anyway, no luck.

Checking the event viewer it doesn't say much, aside from Exception code: 0xc0000005 - Which would point to a multitude of things, none of which is applicable in this case however:

Faulting application name: eso64.exe, version: 1.0.0.1, time stamp: 0x657a3f0d

It's the only game which is giving me issues at the moment. If it was a general issue i'd be seeing it in more games. This leads me to believe one of the included dll's is messing up.

    I can't seem to edit my post: Running it in compatability mode for W7 or W8 doesn't work either.

    @Reiisha

    Given that you have already tried all of these steps, I would recommend also opening a ticket with our support team here so that they can take a closer look at the issu.

    Issue found. Turned out to be MSI Afterburner. Apparently it can't be running at the same time as ESO.
