PS4 v2.52 -- Download Failure

I attempted to play ESO on my PS4 this morning for the first time since the last set of various system and game updates. I get a notification claiming that the application update "cannot download because there is not enough free space". I rebooted the PS4 and still had the same problem.

However, when I check my storage settings on my PS4, my application install location is set to a 2 TB hard drive (1.84 TB usable space) that only has 53 GB being used. If you are telling me that I need over 1.8 TB of space to download your update, you need to fix something.

Assuming it isn't that, what's the issue here? It is entirely possible that this is a PS$ system software bug and not an ESO one, but has anyone else run into this? Only guess is that it's trying to download it to the main drive and not the extended storage.

@jevans824 Have tried deleting the currently download and redownloading it from scratch or are you just trying to update it? Also, are you getting any error code or just a message?

Clarification based on further research: It appears that I need to have about twice the game's size worth of free space in order to download the update. But the free space available on my spare hard drive is way more than that, as noted above.

Another note: The ESO application is currently installed on my main system drive, not the extended storage drive where the application install location is set. But I've done previous updates with no problems with this exact setup.

I seem to have resolved the issue by moving all of my other applications to extended storage. Strangely, once it started downloading the patch, it was only slightly over 1 GB, and I had about 150 GB free on the main system drive before moving the other apps, so I have no idea what was going on.

    Whatever...problem solved. Carry on.
