Some things, like balance changes, are a matter of opinion. I'm still right when I talk about balance and I think that the long history of the game would prove that fact if we looked at what ended up being changed in a hypothetical 5 years from now, but we can just say that everything is a matter of opinion for now. I have my opinions and the designers have theirs - both of us informed by fundamentally different philosophies.
But some things have nothing to do with opinion at all. It's not like the game designers are freshman. They have experience, but we get these glaringly obvious errors that pop up. I wish that I could say that such developments are remarkable. I wish that I could say that I couldn't believe such things happen. I wish that I could think that blatant mistakes are a rarity. I can't say any of those things.
And I've remarked on a number of other sloppily done aspects of the game. Some times things at least seem like they get fixed while other times issues are allowed to ferment, boil, and bubble up. [snip]
Anyhow, should I say what's wrong or not waste another few clicks clacks on the key-board as I sit sneering? Should I laugh or cry when finding that 2 of the only decent balance changes announced by the patch notes actually got skipped over? Neither, the game isn't worthy of emotion regardless of prior investment.
