I am wondering if its only me or if others also experience that the view - 1st person - is strangely "jumping" and "spinning around", I dont know how to describe it better. I first thought that it´s my mouse, but I took another one and it´s still the same. Its almost impossible to play like this. I am on PC EU. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried cleaning the surface underneath your mice? I won't mention drivers, as 1) I'm quite certain you've already checked that, and 2) one of the mice you tried must have installed its latest drivers already; I would think it highly unlikely that even just two separate mice both have old(er) drivers.

I know this next suggestion will be trickier to attempt, but I feel I should make it anyway, to rule out all possibilities: is thare another computer you can try playing ESO on? Could be something on or in your machine. If it's something on your computer, then probably a virus, and I would suggest running a scan immediately; if it's something in (that is, inside) your computer, then that's much harder to clean, as the internal mechanisms are VERY sensitive, and professional cleaning isn't cheap, especially in this economy.

You say "PC EU," but do you run Windows or macOS? The reason I ask is because there is, or was, an issue like that on Macs. The details escape me right now, but from what I remember it usually happened right after an update (but I don't remember if it was the OS or just ESO), and had something to do with permissions or settings. There should be something about that in the Mac subforum. Even if you're running Windows, it might shed some light on your issue.

Thank you both for the tips! I will explore the various possibilities. I use Windows and perhaps its really related to some settings, but its strange that it appeared just suddenly, yesterday in the morning everything was still running completely normal.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic.

    Thank you for your understanding.

@Lugaldu You are most welcome! I truly hope you get it fixed soon!

BTW, if it helps, I'm quite certain I can visualise what you're trying to describe. Something like that would hurt my head and make me dizzy. :/

For your issue with the camera movement, you can try changing look sensitivity by following the steps below:
    1. Open the Settings Menu [Esc].
    2. Under the Controls panel, click on Camera.
    3. Modify the rotation speed for the First and Third Person.

@Lugaldu if you're using a wireless mouse the issue could also be caused by a bad connectivity between mouse and signal reciever. Try to use another usb-port for the latter in this case and make sure there aren't devices, which potentially cause interferences (mobile phone for example) in between.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

I have the same issue on my playstation 4 pro. I checked my tv settings, tried other hdmi ports and cables, and some other stuff i don't remember anymore. I couldn't fix it.

One thing that made it a little bit better was turning off the auto aim.

    PlayStation Patch Notes v2.45/1.27 - Necrom & Update 38 (June 19):

"- We’ve also added a new UI feature to help aim your Fatecarver and Remedy Cascade abilities.

    - The new “Aim Assist” function is found in the Accessibility panel in your options, which gives your targeting a little help at 100% value.
    - This can be reduced all the way to 0 (disabled) if desired."

The patchnotes are not clear, it's not just for arcanists, if you turn it off the auto aim will be off for all your chars. At least on console. I honestly have no idea if this changes anything on PC, but maybe it's worth a try.

By the way... The ability to turn off auto aim was one of the best things ever happening to ESO. I don't often say this here, but a big THANK YOU to whoever made this possible!

I had the same issue but in third person. iirc, it was a DPI issue. There is a setting in properties for ESO that deals with DPI and I made some sort of change there and it solved my spinning issue.

I found the solution via google. Maybe this will help you.

ive also had similar issues where my mouse cursor would get stuck and whatnot, and it was definitely related to a dirty mouse issue

in my case it was actually the little donut shaped pad around where the mouse laser sensor is and because the mouse was old the adhesive holding that pad on was failing so i just took the pad off, cleaned off the adhesive and have far less issues since

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

It is still a mystery what caused the problems with the camera. I first tried all the tips here in the forum, but in the end the problem suddenly disappeared again after several restarts - just as suddenly as it appeared, it simply disappeared again.
