Game needs a few tweaks but is awesome overall

Tweaks:

1. Vampires and mages need their escape skills unspammable; this means a timer or maybe a penalty for more than 3 uses in a row (like maybe the 3rd, 4th, and 5th use within 10 seconds costs 25% health each or something). Something to make those abilities a little less ridiculous. If you PvP, you know what I'm talking about.

2. Shield bash is ridiculous right now. Nightblade with one hander and shield teleport strikes to you and before the quick 1.5 second or so stun wears off, you've been shield-bashed to death. Just one example. If you PvP, you know what I'm talking about.

Things I absolutely love:

1. Best PvP I have ever played, despite the imbalances which currently exist. I wouldn't even know where to begin listing all of the things I love about the PvP zone and PvP play. So much fun.

2. Developer responsiveness. Game has been out less than a month and we're on what, the 6th patch? Botting and gold spamming have both decreased a ton.

3. The crafting system is fun. I couldn't bear to craft in EQ2 or WoW. I simply wouldn't do it. But this system is orders of magnitude better and I actually look forward to researching traits or breaking down gear. I upgraded an entire armor set of mine to purple and upgraded my bow to purple, too, and as stupid as it sounds, I was like "EFF YEAH!" when I did it.

4. The players are much friendlier than in any other MMO I've played. They're helpful and generous and not quick to report people for nonsense. And this is before the "free" month is up, so I imagine that will only improve.

I really love this game. I think a few minor tweaks would improve the experience even more, but just as is, this game is tons of fun.
The only substitute for victory is overkill.

    Couldnt agree more :)

ZOS is really doing a fine job of making life better in Tamriel. If they keep this up we have an amazing game for years to come.

I agree wholeheartedly. Though the forums are already filling with complaints and hyperbole, I can say this game is loads of fun as it is.

I am patient enough to wait for the bugs to be fixed. I don't have any other problems with the game at this point, and I really wish our vocal minority would stop trying to change everything already.

Zenimax, don't go making a bunch of changes just because people QQ on the forums. I mean... The most common complaint I see is "X game did it this way, fix it" -- I don't want to play X game. I want to play ESO. I want to play ESO the way it is.

People will always find something to complain about, but I urge you to stay true to the game's vision, Zenimax! Keep it up!

its not the bugs or class imbalance i am worried about.
Each and every mmo failed to keep their subs going.
Sub based mmo's are rare and to keep people playing they need to have fun !
Getting rewarded for their efforts ingame !
ESO is not rewarding you currently.

Dolmans / Vet dungeons / World bosses / PVP are give extremely low exp...
The only way to V10 and soon V12 is by questing...doing something else means its going to take longer and longer to reach the level cap.

250 hours + to reach V10 if you play 3 hours a day it will take you around 80 days to get there.
That is if you dont pvp / explore / craft / have fun on something else then quest grinding.

To make ESO a succes they need all the subs they can get and keep it, and currently i dont have a feeling many people will stay subbed as the game is to shallow and to difficult the alot of players.

This is not a craycray post ! i want ESO to have much succes, but they are making it very difficult for alot of people who just want to play this game and have fun getting to endgame.
making alts / doing pvp and be on par with anyone else / explore / do dungeons / etc etc

I can already say a ton of people arent going to stay subbed to ESO and i can understand why.
This is a hardcore mmo in each and every department.

I hope i am wrong ! but all signs are here for us to see that Veteran ranks are a big mistake if you want your bulk of casuals reaching endgame.

I couldn't decide to hit agree or awesome...It's a hell of ride IMO.

Mothanos does have some points, I am having a good time in Vet lvls but at times I really get the feeling of being forced to play it a certain way or get nothing in return. Still there is lots to do, Anchors, WB's...but at vet levels everything is a one time deal.

I'd love to see it opened up a bit. Why is it a bad choice or wrong if I wanted to grind mobs for my entire VR so I could save the other two faction stories for an alt or something.

I dont do alts but I am all for options of any kind.

Hm. I admit I don't know what the VRs are like, as I'm still low level and just exploring the world and learning crafting systems. I do know that at this point, what I'm getting out of the game is worth the subscription. I don't have my eye on endgame; I'm just glad the levelling is fun in and of itself.

Agree completely! I am a CORE tank and my damn shieldbash does more damage then any of my other attacks...or even other damage players! Shield bash needs a nerf!

Good post! Sick and tired of all the whiners out there!
