Antiquities Weirdness: Dig Site Buried Underground? 3D Clipping?

In Bal Foyen, at the edge of the small bay east of Dhalmora, near "Liesl <Ebonheart Pact Boatswain>"... Seeking the "Ancestral Nord: Staves" crafting motif.

Scrying successful. Following the guidance of the "Antiquarian's Eye", I end up at a point where I seem to be standing virtually on top of the dig site. See the 2nd/3rd screenshots. The "Antiquarian's Eye" generates indicators pointing in opposite directions, just a few paces apart (they would be pointing at each other, if I could have 2x indicators active at the same time), or doesn't generate an indicator at all, if I am standing in just the right location.

Seems like the dig site should be in the space between the positions of the two indicators, right at the base of the rocks visible in the 2nd/3rd screenshots... in each case immediately behind my companion ("Mirri Elendis")... roughly at the foot of the torch visible in the upper center of the 2nd/3rd screenshots. But there is nothing there.

Logging out and back in again has no effect. Disabling all addons has no effect. Switching characters has no effect: the second character encounters the same exact problem. And once "scrying" is complete, and an area and dig site are fixed, I can't re-scry.

Looks broken to me. And since antiquities "state" is shared among all characters on an account, I suspect I am locked out. Will I ever be able to access this particular antiquity again on this account?

Can anyone suggest a workaround? Realistically, is it worth trying to file a ticket on this (at least to get my scrying "progress" on this antiquity cleared)? My guess is... "no".

Update: Whoa, wait a moment.... I can see a faint streaky glow coming out of the ground immediately to "Mirri Elendis's" right (in her position of the 3rd screenshot). Took several screenshots, attached the best as the 4th screenshot. Faint white vertical streaks in the exact center of the 4th screenshot. Looks like it could be a glow of a dig site, but buried under the ground (such that 3D clipping renders it inaccessible). I know what I am looking for, so I think I can see it. YMMV.

Anyway, I will try logging in later, and hope for a different map. Maybe the 3D clipping will be less extreme.

Abandon, re-scry, problem solved. Just another defect that will never be fixed :-(.

I have had TWO sites like this. Ridiculous.

I went out and did other things for a few hours. Logged back in, problem still exists. It seems unlikely there is any instance of the Bal Foyen map where this does not occur.

I figure: document it, so a web search has a chance to find it. Easy workaround, but hopefully it will save the next schmuck some time (especially someone with as little experience with the Antiquities system as I have).

Thanks for the update on this antiquity. With restarting fixing the issue, we will go ahead and close this thread.
