Just curious why night capping isn't considered cheating?
Take a whole bunch of non- north American players log them all in after primetime around 10:30pm and flip and entire map.
That's what goes on.

So why not? it's about as cheating as anything else.

Dear Community/Followers,

I want to address recent concerns regarding allegations of inappropriate direct messages and supposed cheating. First and foremost, I want to clarify that I do not admit to any wrongdoing. However, I understand that my actions may have been perceived in a way that caused concern.

As many of you know, I am a disabled veteran who served in Iraq, and I am permanently and totally mentally disabled. My PTSD, which was formally diagnosed in 2013 after being reclassified in the DSM-5, has affected me in ways that are difficult to fully explain. While this is not an excuse, it has, at times, clouded my judgment and impacted my behavior. This condition is something I have lived with for a long time, and it is a daily challenge.

As an influencer, streamer, and game reviewer with over 300 reviews, 800 followers on Twitch, and 1,600 followers on TikTok, I understand the responsibility that comes with my platform. Our role as influencers is to set a positive example, and I want to make it clear that I do not condone actions that go against the Terms of Service (TOS) or End User License Agreements (EULA) of any platform or community. Even though societal norms have evolved, and what was once deemed acceptable behavior in the past is no longer appropriate, I am committed to adapting and ensuring that my actions reflect the values we strive for today.

I want to go forward with a commitment to better representing the disabled members of our community. I recognize that I may never fully "fit in" or be "normal," but I am dedicated to improving and learning from these experiences. It is crucial that we have more flexibility and better support services for disabled veterans like myself, so we can remain active members of our communities without being unfairly limited by our disabilities. These services would help ensure that we can make better decisions and avoid situations like this in the future.

Thank you for your understanding, and I am grateful for the continued support of this community as I work to become a better version of myself.

Sincerely,
theshockcable

Think about it for a few moments and it might start to make more sense. Your prime time might be my night cap. What standard do you apply? EST? A perfectly legitimate player in Cali logging on after a night shift at 11pm their time is online at 2AM your time. Are they night capping, or logging on at the only time they can?

    "Log on in the morning"

Okay, so that same person goes to bed, wakes up at 7am their time (10 am your time) while you're at work and unable to play.

Who is right and who is wrong?

Why isn't it considered cheating to log on during your free time and take keeps?

Let's see if we can turn the question around a little to give you some perspective...

How DARE you go to sleep or go to work when you know very well your alliance needs you. You understand that enemies are going to come and flip the map... Yet you aren't there. Are you a coward??

Nothing against easy AP, but I guess if we have a "PvP" campaign, then it should be primarily "PvP" activity that decides who is wins or not, right ?

The whole "night capping" is a huge design flaw. It does not matter from what time zone some is or when they have time to play. The problem is that potential points gained from capturing PvP objectives do not take into account "the difficulty" level of how hard or easy it was. It is as if in PvE we had same rewards for normal & veteran content.

In PvP, the difficulty is considered "a player made content". Players are the ones you are fighting against. If they are better - then it gets harder. If there is more of them - then it gets harder. If there is no one to fight against... is is still a PvP content ? I guess not.

Imho potential points should be based on population difference. So the moment one faction takes a keep or something, the game should check "attackers vs defenders" global faction population count and calculate "the difficulty" and give appropriate reward (less potential points or more).

op, do you believe zos should turn off the cyrodiil server when you log off and only turn it on when you, eternalshockcable, are ready to queue?

    Greetings,

As this thread has derailed with baiting and non-constructive commentary, we've decided to close it down.
    • Trolling or Baiting: The act of trolling is defined as something that is created for the intent to provoke conflict, shock others, or to elicit a strong negative or emotional reaction. It’s okay and very normal to disagree with others, and even to debate, but provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the official The Elder Scrolls Online community. If you do not have something constructive or meaningful to add to a discussion, we strongly recommend you refrain from posting in that thread, and find another discussion to participate in instead. It is also not constructive or helpful to publicly call out others and accuse them of trolling, or call them a troll—please refrain from doing so. If you genuinely believe someone is trolling, please report the post or thread to the ESO Team, and leave it at that.
Please be sure to keep our Community Rules in mind when posting on our forums.

    Thank you for your understanding.
