Saw a bot drop in on me from the sky with one of those nonsense names. A minute later, it has a "real" name, i.e. a two-word name that wasn't gibberish. It either changed its name, or gave the appearance of changing its name, when looking at the bot.

✭✭Bots are starting to use normal names and normal gear to blend in better.
Out of the two dozen I reported in stonefalls, at least 6 of them had "real" names.
