Anyone used it yet? It's awesome in theory, but I will probably hang onto this sucker forever out of fear of giving it to the wrong person. Maybe they will address my fears in a future patch by making it less permanent. Might I suggest a new item : The Annulment of Akatosh. Also, I'm going to feel pretty weird asking some dude to essentially virtual marry me.

    I have used the Rings of Mara with my girlfriend. Since I have not tried to level without it on I can not speak to the differences but I think it is pretty cool kind of a win win; Now she knows that if I use a flirt emote on some Breton chick she can slap me..and I get more xp? Maybe I do not win in this case lol :p

    What i wanna know is this. my friend and I both bought Imperial editions so we both have a set of rings. if he gives me one ring and i give my ring to another person. do i get exp boost with both of em?

    I would say yes, since the rings specifies that as long as the other player with the ring is group with you it provides an xp bonus...would Mara approve no idea..but Dibella on the other hand ;)

    The difference:
    +10% XP as long as you're in the same group (but not necessarily nearby)

    You can use this command in chat to see your mara-bonus:
    /script d(GetRingOfMaraExperienceBonus())

    It will tell you a number (0.10... something) that represents your xp bonus.


    Hey Bronzedragon316 you could use that command to test your theory. Let us know what you find out.

    That command just calls the rings value, not your characters rate.

    Actually, I wish my Ring of Mara had an oppoiste effect - for quests to give LESS exp>.> <.< I took it off ages ago(compared to my secondary, did seem to lvl a bit faster) and still level up way too fast. And I'm lvl 41, and no, STILL too fast, half my current quests are already trivial, that's without PvP or grinding dungeons for exp>.<
